SRK Mafia XI: Vampires Vs Werewolves - Game Over: Town Wins!

Oh yeah, just for clarification sake @Pimp Willy, do Dracula or Lucian have access to the Bite ability. If not then it would seem that the only thing that poses a threat to the village day one is itself.

@3rdSTRikeLOVE

Same question as Aidebit, what are your first impressions on everybody?

@Bious Historically, my reads on MP are usually way off lol. I expect a different MP this game regardless of whose side he’s on. We’ve seen him as a civ and a mafioso now. He’ll have to reinvent himself.

That said, I agreed with his post about Pie. I believe one of them will end up being a monster.

lol, being that this is my first game…I wanna at least make it a couple of days before getting voted off. There are a couple of things I’m not sure about, and I’ll tell what they are if I decide to vote for somebody today or if someone just says something completely retarded. Asking everyone is they would come out and admit if they’ve been bitten could be viewed as suspicious, but then again, from what I mentioned a while ago about only one of two converted peoples being able to be healed a day, it would pretty much be auto-lynching yourself. So maybe he was just throwing ideas around.
That being said, if everyone is in favor of a day one lynch, I’m 90 percent sure of who i’m voting for and why. I’ll let you know if it’s pretty unanimous that we’ll day on lynch somebody.

Another question for PW, if a civ is lynched/dies as a civ, and the civs as a team end up winning, does said civ still get points for the win?

Hahahaha, don’t worry. I’m not trying to trick you with any questions that I already know the answer to.

Spoiler

Those come later on.

I just want to hear the new players’ perspective on how everybody’s acting. You two probably have the least clouded opinions on everyone’s playstyle at the moment.

While you’re answering my previous question, have you read any of the previous games (and if so, which ones)? Same questions to @Aidebit.

First impressions? Well, I think that everyone here is an astounding, upright citizen of their respective nations.
But for real, I think that no one particularly stands out right now, and they seem very consistent compared to what I’ve seen of them in some of the previous games that I speculated. Except for those dick pictures, those were completely out of the left field.

Yup, read the PW game, skimmed through the All-Stars one, and I also read the DR game.

Jeeezus Christ…i didn’t expect this game to start so fast! Anyways, Just checking in- still recovering from Monday night Happy Hour(bad fukin’ idea btw). Will post something useful later.

From experience it’s always a good idea to post in the thread who you’re voting for and a justification for why. Bandwagoning without any explanation is a big target on your back, same as changing your vote last minute.

The points for this unique game haven’t been finalised but in the past all civilians will get points for the win. Those killed miss out on the bonus points for living to the end of the game, living with a role etc.

It’s going to be tricky determining allegiences for this game though. If a civilian is turned mid-game, do they count as civ for points if they get lynched before being cured?

I tried to keep up with the last game, it might as well have been a novel. And I half way checked out some of the other games. It’s kinda silly figuring shit out without access to the LL or any of the other PM’s.

As for who is suspicious, it may be more of an opinion than fact. And I would like to see if the behavior sustains before I say anything. Also, it won’t matter if everybody decides to no-lynch. Speaking of that, is there anybody that thinks that no-lynching is an option or is that type thinking out of the question. Statically speaking, it will be a villager who gets lynched after all. Which is why what I was asking about Dracula or Lucian being able to bite pretty important. I’ve read the ability list twice and I’m still not sure what abilities the Monsters’ Leaders have right now. Maybe I’m just tired

No-lynch is always a valid choice but it’s pretty risky suggesting it Day 1. That usually gets people gunning for you, regardless of how legitimate of a technique it is.

As for the monster leader abilities, it’s my understanding that they have access to all of them immediately but can only activate one at a time. So for example, tonight Dracula might choose to promote his initiates while Lucian chooses to bite a villager. However, Dracula couldn’t promote and bite.

That’s the reason for the promotion ability. It allows the leaders to divide their power amongst their team so they can maximise their abilities.

I said I would tell you who it is and why if we decide on lynching someone, I’m not quite sure how that’s "Bandwagoning."
Maybe that was like some kind of say something stupid to get me to say something stupid so you can call me out on saying something stupid trick…almost had me there.

You won’t be getting many facts in this game. You’re better off voicing your opinion and seeing if they match up with anyone else’s rather than keeping your thoughts to yourself in order to prevent from directly attacking someone. Not providing an answer is more suspicious than providing a wrong answer.

Are you still going to refrain from posting your initial thoughts?

Just to clarify, I’m asking for what your opinions on everyone are, not who we should lynch today.
(I know you were responding to Synonym’s post, but I just want to make sure you know that the two questions are different.)

You said you would only post your Day 1 lynch choice if everyone agreed we were no lynching. Regardless, you should post your suspect prior to that point so that we can grill them. Bandwagoning, at least in the Mafia-game context, is when players blindly follow the voting trend without explaining their reasons. By not openly posting your suspicions you leave it open to interpretation as to whether you’re bandwagoning or not.

For reference, the post said this:

I’m not trying to trick you, I’m trying to help you adjust quicker to these games than I did when I started playing.

Whoops. Fixed it up.

Yeah, I know the difference. The thing is my “vote” is something like “if he’s a civ, last gasp might be helpful” or “if he’s monster, then yays.” It’s not really based purely on suspicious behavior yet. I understand the poke the nest and see what comes out method, but again I’m tired and my troll senses are in a weakened state right now.

Cool, I’m not under the impression that you guys are trying to trick me. I Just don’t want to throw accusations with no reason behind them as I’ve only skimmed over the first few pages trying to catch up. Frankly it would seem that everyone is pretty on point as far as not casting suspicion on themselves.

Except you nailed me in the Death Note game. But I royally screwed up in that one.

I don’t know if I’m really retooling anything per se, I know how I have to play a smart game no matter what, and me not doing me would cast way too much suspicion my way if I was one of the mafia factions this game. Moreover, considering I do make some good reads (My terrible read on HAX in the late game last game not withstanding), it would behoove me to keep myself in the game as well as I can to give the civs a leg up when things really start clicking in my head.

That may sound cocky and selfish, but I’ve done fairly well in these games and I want to be a contributor in the win…I just don’t like being the airheaded cheerleader that wins by proxy.

Well damn, sometimes a proxy win aint bad.
