Not going to make it retroactive here, Team SMW 4 lyfe. But moving forward, I think we can manage something like this.
What does everyone think of the abridged general ruleset for points?
Successfully vote to lynch a mafia (civ only): 1 point
Vote successfully to lynch a mafia as majority (civ only): 1 point (stacks with the above)
Votes successfully to lynch a civilian as majority (civ only): -1 point
Votes successfully to lynch a civilian as majority (mafia only): 1 point
Let’s work together to get a point system we can agree in. If not, someone can call for mafia game shutdown, and only I will reserve the right to restart the games if you meet to my concessions of 3 points for being generally awesome and the elimination of Obamacare.
Honestly, I would’ve made it so obvious that I’m mafia that you had to kill me. Then I would’ve made mafia plays that were all obviously me, including telling everybody where to spread their abilities out to. Everyone that could see the actions would’ve been like, “That’s something MP would do.” So night actions would do nothing to make the civs flesh out a case, because I would’ve called all the shots.
The only thing that would’ve stood in my way was Kirigiri, but if we could smoke her out early, it would’ve been game quickly.
The problem with that is it’s subjective. I could’ve said to Godots “Yep, I’m like 95% sure that these 5 are Mafia” and there’s no penalty if I’m wrong. I don’t think we should give points for reads because they’re hard to confirm, but I’ll give you props. [props][/props]
I think it’s good. Encourages civilians voting for Mafia and also discourages them voting for other civilians. I really like that you didn’t penalize Mafia voting for each other.
Oh, more like Mafia killing the UC or Medic in a regular game. It’s harder to justify in this format where everyone has a role but it’s a nice way for mafia to earn points.
Automatic early game points for Mafia with day 1 bandwagon lynches of a civ. Lots of games they don’t have to do anything as the town kills themselves. TF2:Red, Mafia point jackpot?
In fact there’s no downsides to having to vote for Mafia themselves. Which is how they get points now besides winning the game. So they automatically net points no matter what, for being picked either randomly or due process to be Mafia.
Unless that determiner, they got the town to turn on someone. How do you judge that? The first Mafia to put that idea out there and get away with it? How does it mixup Mafia having to bandwagon and hide votes? How does that mixup all the Mafia winning a vote by all voting a Civ and Civs voted majority for someone else?
Unlikely, but late game or something with their majority voting where it might happen. & the current system even if the player didn’t (couldn’t  get a lynch) promotes “reads” on Mafia. Me pegging pietastic but nobody cared.
Not in a game of roles that read other roles to pin them down easier. Like where are you saying where you pin down their roles? When does it count? Does it count towards the end of a game when its easier to know who is in what role left?
/obviously never been Mafia, ya’ll scumbags, currency of the damned so that’s why you guys want them now too, etc.
For all my teasing of you Kenny’s not doing it for us,
uh, for this game that should’ve been my role. I would’ve been Mafia like everyone said I was, and after a few day phases or something, killing me means no more of my posts in the thread! They would be forced to kill me for the greater good.
I’m pretty crap on the group project though for this game’s civs. And would be a 1st year, 1st time Mafia. So I would help civs win instead of Mafia, opposite of this game too?
The GM clearly edited that post for him. Pimp was connected to him for the writeup post and opened his ports for direct computer access, move your desktop intervention, or what kindle calls their new mayday button thing. Pimp Willy Mafia game penis posts, had to come back like Pimp Willy 0 games won at the end there for the last writeup.
I’m still not editing and could’ve used an edit or two in these posts.
I dunno though HAX, I think way too many people were sleeping on pietastic until I called him out in thread. If I hadn’t been Kenny that may not have been done to the point where he was incriminated. It pretty much set an order in place for a couple of phases in Azure’s mind, so that was mad helpful.
My two biggest mistakes:
Running Mobius over Synonym
Running you over ForgeDigger
Had I been reading the thread over, I probably could’ve caught what IL did. That was my fault. However, I did read when I shouldn’t have and felt like it could’ve been you. I started way too far back, I should’ve just searched for Forge’s posts and looked at all of them like I did against pietastic.
Like PW said, I have to develop my end game, but believe it or not, as civ, this is the only time I’ve been in the thread at end game. I died night 2 in ZA, I got DQ’d at like night 5 in MVC, and died night 6 of PW. So I have far less experience in this position than other players, and even started out dying early.
But I followed PW’s game theory on Kenny. I started out in IDGAF mode, and mostly stayed there and tried to push people hard when I was sure something didn’t add up, because what can they do to me? Kill me? I’m already dead. Up until the last couple cycles, it worked. So I definitely feel like Kenny is a solid role in the right hands.
Damn you guys are over-thinking this point system. It wouldn’t affect me, as I rarely vote with the majority anyway (unless I happen to lead the bandwagon :3).
