Not really. Mafia are going to try and hit important targets first. Early on this seems to be people that are known to have strong contributions from previous games, or people that are barking up the right tree.
my first post was more of a joke being new to the game and all. the only person i’m really suspicious of at this point is missing person, PW’s post count breakdown is just adding to that feeling.
as for noodle i can’t help but think that’s a distraction so early in the game, probably best to wait until he can speak for himself.

Also each civ should guage his/her own importance to the group. Even if you don’t have a lot to contribute or don’t have a special role, being a meat shield can be quite valuable at times.

Both of those two are questionable. I’ve been trying to read through the whole thread to find people randomly arguing with each other. I figure Mafia would likely try shit like that simply to get people to only suspect one of the two, or to just ignore them thinking they’re trolls.

lmao as soon as I read that GR killed somebody, I knew somebody would point a finger at me. I sure as fuck ain’t GR. Not to mention I asked for TM and GR to ride it out this night phase. And I at least killed a nobody without an avatar last game to hide. Whoever GR is, it was somebody that obviously suspected OZ was mafia and had an itchy trigger finger. I do believe that GR is one of the newer players.
I gotta admit, the first thing I thought of when I saw Noodle getting silenced was “is this a mindfuck” and sadly, I still don’t have an answer to that question. But I’d like to wait a day (or two? Can he post on Saturday or does he wait until next night phase?) to see what he has to say, and if he has a reason for why he would be silenced. Hell, for all we know, silencing people could be the mafia trying to set up a password or something.

This was my worry since day one (which was technically yesterday). SOOOO many names in this thread of people I never see post in tGR, so it’s kinda hard to get a read on them. I’m almost willing to say the entire mafia is n00bs. I thought there was a vet in their ranks, but that Bious kill just seems so fucking random. I’ve re-read his posts a few times, and I can’t seem to figure out why he would be the first night kill.
Do we even have legit inactives still, or just people like Pataka, Icege, and Puff who have like 1 fucking post all game?
anywho, I find it interesting Pimp posts a wall of nonsense (sure you don’t wanna give us a gypsy fortune telling while you’re at it?). Was he trying to be helpful, or just trying to make it seem like he fits in? “Hey guys look at this helpful info I have been collecting! I gotta be civ now!”

Go back and read pages 1-7. Look for painfully obvious posting to the game with vague if any contributions to look like said person(s) isn’t playing the mafia role of sit back and let everyone argue while I act confused/don’t contribute/say random nothings. This is your second go round; it’s not going to be that obvious to you, but I’m pretty sure there’s at least two mafia members you’ll find within those pages that are playing exactly like that.
am i the only person who finds the first and 3rd parts of pimp’s info worthless? what good is post order or who people are posting near each other… especially when a lot of that shit just has to do when someones boss happens to be looking or not.

I already said the information I posted didn’t have any conclusions, it was just raw data. It’s literally in the post preceding all the data, yet you feel the need to try and twist it like I was making some point with the data.
However, if Mafia is willing to spend a day writing a computer program to parse data, and then actually SHARE that data with the civilians, that’s pretty impressive. I’d say it puts points in my Confirmed Civilian column score, but hey you want to keep being paranoid, by all means : )

Yeah now that I think about it, DRD hasn’t put forth anything yet. I seem to recall him waiting and pulling similar tactics in the previous game before coming out with a mountain of incorrect evidence though. May just be playing it safe, hard to tell.

i had to look at his explanation. it’s just post proximity. with 3 points for being right after someone, 2 for within 1 post and 1 for within 2 posts…
i went to open up what my correlation thinking it might have something to do with people we were talking about and saw neesa at the top of my list, had to do a double take. PW could you perhaps alter that 3rd one to scan the posts for usernames and abbreviations as keywords?
It’s explained in the previous post:
- Post Correlation analysis.
This compares how often you post near somebody else. I go with the following metric: Post right after/before them, 3 points. Post 2 posts away from them, 2 points. Post 3 posts away from them, 1 point. Anything else is 0 points. It tallys all those points and breaks down who you post near the most. Might be useful for flushing out mafia colluding together?
Also noted that I need to normalize it based on post count, as people with high post counts will automatically have high correlation numbers, which doesn’t really mean anything unless it’s normalized. Even then, it doesn’t mean much, it points out what posters you tend to post around the same time as. It’s just raw data, with no conclusions attached.
Again, my post before that one literally says “I will probably omit the first part, it’s used internally to calculate statistics, and probably just takes up space for eyeball analysis.” But the last one can be useful, or it can be pointless, I have no idea until the game is over.
Actually, I will run my analysis on the last game, and see what sort of patterns I notice…
Of course simply posting that I am tracking this data itself skews the data set since Mafia will be more careful now. Best I can do is make them overthink their actions too much, perhaps stifiling their normal patterns and throw them off their game.
@Redbeard I acknowledge your suspicion. MP and I are both guilty of locking onto a target that struck us a certain way. The key difference is, the guy I fingered is still alive. And I didn’t turn the majority against him. Naturally, defending MP makes me question you, pretty lips. Going on the offense, now that seems more natural.

Not really, but is really easy to misinterpret the actions of a person, especially on a game that is core is the distrust on each other, for example, what in other thread would have been an innocuous joke, here it could be interpreted as a red flag for some people, like what happened between me and Vynce for example.
Something i picked up on the first page, it could be nothing but it is just something I picked up.
@Neesa you asked if Missing Person had counted 25 check ins when there were only 24 in the thread. It could just be a miscount but it also could mean that you are part of the mafia pms and someone checked in there before checking in here and that is how you got one extra.
Yeah a lot of people are posting in this game from work, when they get home from work, etc. I post a ton while I’m reading through websites, then I go play Injustice for like 8 hours straight and remember to come back here, and there is suddenly like 8 more pages of info.

The problem is, Duckie was at least active in discussions that last game. Sure, he didn’t put forth information, but got damn, he wasn’t THIS quiet.
By that logic neither was bulldancer. However I will agree that I dont really know what DRD is trying to accomplish. 95 percent of his posts are just jokes at himself for his terrible charts last game.
It was a simple miscount. I had an Excel sheet and I had checked someone off who hadn’t checked in yet. I kept asking in the thread cause at first, I was marking my check in by those that posted after a certain time, but then I double back and did people that checked in when the game started.
