Three things come up that may be relevant from Bious’s posts.

  • He was the only one who mentioned anything about the password saying to not worry about it until Taskmaster gets his kills.

  • He mentioned of people to NOT VOTE for Evillord because that person was jailed.

  • He suggested that MissingPerson is unlikely to get killed, saying that they’re likely to target another person other than MP (which could suggest himself or Orochizoolander, but he was killed by GR…).

Who hated orochi based on previous posts?

So here we are, wondering if Noodle was silenced for a reason or if the Capcoms are just fucking with us. So, basically, with the silence alone, we have no basis for knowing his alliance either way: unless we can find a concrete reason. And I can’t.

Man, this game was a lot easier when playing face-to-face.

  1. If bious said not to worry about a password until taskmaster gets his kills, that makes him suspicious as mafia and not likely a mafia target because we should restrict words before taskmaster kills so we can have a better chance at picking up on their password.

The other 2 points I am not sure what to make of them.

I suspected OZ because of his actions and then the fact the he got so flustered he ended up making a mistake by editing one of his posts. I am sure I am not the only one that suspected him but I am sure that I was probably the main one.

I think that if Noodle is a civ, killing Boius before him make sense. Why? Because that way they can rise suspicions about him, there are 2 possible scenarios.

  1. Since he can’t defend himself, he can be lynched if is decided that it is too suspicious, and that it could be a ploy of the mafia to mess with us by silencing one of their own. That way they can save their kill for another player.

  2. We don’t lynch him right away so they instead of killing him on the next night phase, they kill another player, that way he will be more suspicious making him a more likely target.

In any case, if he is a civ, he is now on the spotlight, distracting us to see from any other potential mafia out there.

This is all of course assuming that he is indeed a civ, if he is not, and we assume that he is… welp :confused:

I think that the edit wasn’t made by mistake, it was more something made from the habit, i do that all the fucking time on all the other threads, where i correct errors or add after thoughts.

I dont really think anyone wants to lynch him right now to be honest because like you said he cant defend himself so we want to hear what he has to say.

Ok, incoming information dump. As a programmer, I like writing stuff that helps break down the information is a straight statistical manner, without letting emotion get in the way, something that can be hard to do.

I wrote a program that automatically reads this thread, and started crunching numbers against it. So far it does 3 things:

  1. Post order. Tracks which order people talk in. I am including it here only informationally, as it’s actually pretty much a straight data dump that probably won’t be useful, but is used internally. Will probably omit this from future reports unless people actually like seeing it for some reason.

  2. Post Count. See who is talking the most in the thread.

  3. Post Correlation analysis.
    This compares how often you post near somebody else. I go with the following metric: Post right after/before them, 3 points. Post 2 posts away from them, 2 points. Post 3 posts away from them, 1 point. Anything else is 0 points. It tallys all those points and breaks down who you post near the most. Might be useful for flushing out mafia colluding together?

I think I may need to tweak the last one, as people with more posts = higher correlation points, I may need to average your score with your total number of posts to get something more standardized. Will probably work on that.

Anyway, following post will contain the data dump. I miss the old preview feature, spoiler previews doesn’t work here, so I’m hoping it’s formatted correctly since I can’t edit it.

Note this is not trying to prove anything, it’s just straight data we can use to our advantage.

I agree @sikwidit I don’t think its enough to base a vote on yet, but it’s definitely suspect.

I got a few people in mind at this point actually that I’d focus on before Noodle now that I’ve done some backtracking through the thread. Vynce, NickRocks, and HighLulu are topping the list.

Highlulu’s immediate attempt to get a ball rolling on Sovi3t and MP seemed like it COULD have been joking, but also a bit too soon. Looked like a bad mafia play to get some attention on two people they knew were civs and knew would be strong.

Nick is posting just enough to not look inactive, but his posts are not contributing to us at all and he was gunning way too hard for inactives when we had suspects on the board. It had also already been confirmed that inactives would get taken care of by SWBeta at that point.

Vynce’s entire discussion with MP was… questionable.

MP has posted the most by far, basically posters #2 and #3 combined for his post count, and yet hasn’t offered really anything of substance yet. I personally don’t think a Mafia would stick their neck out that far, I just think he’s over zealous and excited, like a kid with a balloon he loves so much he squeezes it until it pops.

(he also was updating post counts for day 1 vote, which inflated it a lot)

What you are saying is why I believe alot of the mafia have been quiet. I honestly believe this is why people are afraid to post as well. The more they talk the more people are going to try and pull something out of what they post. However I think that we all need to post a bit more especially if you are a civ so mafia isnt so camouflaged with those that are quiet and we have more to work with.
I think quiet civs help the mafia more than not.
I believe the only way we can really win this is by communicating a little more, which is probably why I post whenever I think I have something to contribute.

While I definitely agree with you in theory about posting more, we don’t want to give up too much info too early. Hold some of our cards, especially those who have important roles, until a few days in. We don’t want to give the Mafia enough info to peg who some of our important targets are either.
