Alright, I am going to repost this. Since its looking bleak for me, I will sacrifice myself to help the civilians win. You guys need to watch out for Supreme JD, Papa Rhino, Grog, and Wepeel.
Supreme JD is doing a lot of work and accidentally called himself Mafia but couldn’t ninja edit intime.
Papa Rhino has been voting and leaving very quickly, and he has been voting with Grog and Supreme JD everytime.
Grog, Supreme JD, and PR have all voted together almost every time. If my theory is correct they are probably all Mafia and trying to lynch together.
Wepeel figured out my plan to sacrifice myself to oust the Mafia. So he said that maybe it wasn’t a good idea to lynch me. I called him on it and he hasn’t responded.
Remember this if I go down.
Change my vote to Supreme JD and Grog.
Don’t be influenced by the people trying to lynch someone.
Thinking I’m going to change my vote now.

Ok guys I’m going to GG myself from this shit. SWBeta, it’s real fucked up to change the rules mid round after I had already made my first post. Making it so the full 72 hours had to pass after people post is just going out of your way to bend the rules for the civilians. I would’ve posted completely differently if I had known that BS. Then allowing votes to be changed this round too? I know you want to stay as the GM for this game as long as you can but flat out the mafia won this game. With zero deaths. So you check back after the 72 hours and see the mafia did in fact win, so you extend the time even more and not only suggest people to change their votes, but to push for people to do so after showing the results. Sorry but a biased mod here is just not fun at all to deal with. If someone wins, they win. Don’t change rules on them to prevent them from winning and to make the game go longer. You could’ve always started from scratch in a new game after this one and make sure to use active people.

Ha I never accidentally called myself Mafia. I made it clear what I was trying to say.
I’m done trying to defend myself. Any more action I do will be seen as “defending myself because I am part of the Mafia”. You guys will be making a big mistake though because my work is usually right on the money. I provide solid facts and evidence, unlike some of these other dudes. I bet the Mafia haven’t killed me off yet because they’ve expected that you guys would do it for them.
If we can just get at least one Mafia dude this round then we stand a pretty good chance at winning the game.

But the fact of the matter is, SRK in fact, down for some period of time in the past few days. I do not remember when, exactly, because my internet was also out for the majority of the time. It apparently has something to do with my ISP, Comcast. I was just trying to give everyone the time they lost when SRK was down.
But hey, thanks for playing. If I ever plan on doing another one of these games in the future, let me know if you’re interested.

Ninja Edit: Next time, I’ll make sure I only sign up people that will be regularly posting.
Edit 2: And as for the 72 hours, it was because 2 people are going to be lynched as opposed to one. It’s not because I favored one group over another. I’ve also always allowed votes to be changed. I think some people changed their votes over Evo weekend, if I remember correctly. Also, at the time I posted the tally, two people had not reached 6 votes yet, and that was this round’s requirements to end. The highest at the time were Puff (6 votes), then kane_warhead (5 votes). That’s also part of the reason I extended the voting period further.
You changed that rules before SRK went down for that couple of hours it did yesterday though. And now that votes have been changed and the game goes on a little bit more voting is finally closed.
Sorry but in my mind mafia still won this, now it’s just a mini game you get to play during the credits.
Again, I’m sorry you feel that way. I looked back at the original post and saw that I didn’t post about 2 required lynches being part of the reason for the 72 hour time limit. It does look like I’m favoring the civilians in that post and I apologize for that. I fucked up.
Edit: Honestly, I was gonna let the voting period go on for a couple more hours, but after your first post, I decided to close it. The game is probably broken now because of how you wrote that post. It would have been nice if you PM’d me the details, but post in here only stating that you are exiting the game, but what’s done is done.
DAY 4: NIGHTTIME
*The townsfolk were very angry.
After heated debate, two people had finally been selected to be lynched. The townsfolk turned to face the first choice, PuFF. PuFF just looked back at them, nonchalantly, and began to speak.
“I knew that this was coming. A lot of you were gunning for me yesterday as well. Don’t waste your time on me. I’ve taken cyanide pills, and it will be any moment now before they kick in. I’m already dead. I love this town, and I love you all. Use my self-sacrifice to get the maf–”
PuFF slumped over and fell.*
PuFF committed SUICIDE.
PuFF was… a CIVILIAN
*Grog stood from his seat and walked over to PuFF’s body.
“I need to check and see if he’s bluffing or if he’s really dead.”
Holding a glass of liquor in one hand, he used his free hand to roll over PuFF’s body. He checked his pulse.
“Dead.”
He reached into PuFF’s shirt pocket, and found a few more cyanide pills. He took 5 of them and threw them in his mouth. He drank the liquor immediately afterward.
The townsfolk looked at him in shock and confusion. Why did Grog sentence himself to death? What reason could there possibly be?
“I’m leaving. Do not come after me.”
Grog dropped a note on the floor, then left the town hall, and walked out of town. He kept walking until his body stopped responding.*
Grog committed SUICIDE
Grog was… MAFIA
*The townsfolk read the note. It said ‘I AM MAFIA.’
With two people dead, the townsfolk did not lynch anyone. They were content to know that a member of the mafia had died. They did not have time to mourn for PuFF, as they were busy bolting their doors and making sure that they were safe for the night that was coming.*

I am done to. Yeah nobody chose me I could have gone on to the next round but the way this round was handled ticked me off and from speaking to Grog it seems I am not the only one. I am a Mafia member, displaying so means I must be DQ’d.
I do not have a problem that the round was extended for 72 hours (and although I will not speak for him I doubt Grog has one with that either). I have a problem with the fact that the mafia won the game and deep down you know it. 2 people had the required 6 votes after the 72 hour time limit, they should be lynched. You then come on and extend it for a further few hours (not stating how long either I will add), and then go on to say if your internet is down people can continue to vote for up to 12. I’m sorry, but if the Mafia still had the votes in their favour would the game have even ended before then? I doubt it.
I don’t hold anything against you, we were just screwed out of winning and I feel that you knew if the mafia got the upper hand in this round and then lynched a civilian they had won the game. The civilians were favoured so much in this round that the game was broken. We followed the rules to a tee and played an amazing game (heck I haven’t received a single vote and I’m the leader) and just before winning it was snatched away to extend game time. Not for the sake of SRK being down in my mind (as all the regulars had posted), but so that there would be another few days left in the game. The mafia cannot recover from this round and they never could which is why I don’t feel or see the point in myself continuing.
I’m sorry to tarnish the game, but rules are set and should not change.
I gotcha, DG. I guess it seems like I did favor the civilians, and for that, I apologize.

If it’s any consolation up until this point on the mafias part we were really enjoying it. I think you should certainly run another game in the future. I enjoyed your narration and part in the game and I know wepeel sure did also.
Again apologies for backing out, but I couldn’t see us having a fair chance after the stipulations were added to that round.
No prob, man. Although I’ve played this game other times before, this was my first time actually running one. I learned a lot and I definitely know what and what not to do the next time around.

i made a lot of bad guesses, but damn it, i had a hunch that PR and JD were mafia members.
SWBeta, don’t worry about anything. this was the first game of mafia on SRK, right? i’m sure you’ll smooth things out in a future game, and i’d be down to play again. i followed the thread after i got taken out, and i didn’t notice that you extended the day time after two people had enough votes to be lynched. i can see the mafia members were annoyed. just try to make sure everything is as clear as possible (i thought everything was pretty clear except the extension), so there won’t be any confusion at all next time.
what exactly is the role of the witness in the game?
hmmm I have a theory that Drunken Geordie might be maffia. Just a hunch though
