I don’t like the zoo wagon at all. Seems fishy. I still think two of the three in the AC/BK/JC standoff are dirty as hell (it’s either 1 civ/2 mafia or 1 civ/1 mafia/1 3rd party). No one seems to be wanting JasonC, however, and AC is establishing “Mr. Helpy Helperton” really quickly.

Limping into the end of day 1 without a lot of traction and discussion. It’s looking like Oz is the leading candidate and I don’t really have any strong opinion on him. He made exactly 1 post, and the fishjie divebomb question is something I can’t get out of my head. What was that, exactly? Fishjie had enough knowledge about the game and gamestate to say “Don’t lynch Oz”, but why? Was it a completely random occurrence or was it some sort of weird yomi move? Furthermore, what sort of significance did that play into others putting their vote on him?
I’m going to go with a No Lynch vote. There’s no options on the table that I can get behind that I have decent enough data or strong intuition on to work with. As for the player(s) who did make blips on my radar I’m not ready to tip my hand to them yet.

I think this bandwagon is a little too smooth. But if Icege taught me anything it’s not to let the inactive people hang around too long. I don’t really have any reads but then again I never do on day one. It could also just be the rust. I suppose I’ll follow suit on Zoo and see where that takes us.

I honestly believe that Alpha is a misguided civ at this point, all his actions has given off a strong civ vibe and he’s played the game like he’ll usually do at the start when he’s civ.
Jason on the other hand following suit on an easy 3p vote but not wanting to disclose what he saw that Alpha saw irks me.

Claiming to be roleless civ on day 1 will immediately put you on my radar as suspicious. As I say every game I bother to actually participate in, why make make it easier to let mafia figure out who has a role? And don’t give me any yomi bullshit, there is no hard benefit to the civs to claim roleless civ this early as people will often go after you with nothing but a hunch and/or mafia manipulated band wagon…what you feel out of all players you’re going to be targeted by a vigilante you assume to be reckless with his 3 kills on night 1? You signaling to a roled civ to not waste their power on you? please GTFO, stop snitching people it doesn’t help generate any substantive conversation and only obfuscates the simple ass point of the civs.
BD claiming mafia page 1…I really don’t know what to make of this let me think out loud for a second. So if he’s a roleless civ claiming mafia just brings mafia, roled civs, and third party attention to him to possibly draw the heat off a roled civ and sacrificing himself to night 1 kill assuming mafia fall for it? but even then a roleless civ being such a lightning rod doesn’t really benefit civs as mafia have no fucking clue who’s who on day 1 to begin with. A roled civ claiming mafia day 1 means he’s just using reverse psychology, but even then again being a lightning rod when being so vital to the success of the civs is a big risk with the payoff of…living past night 1? Again doesn’t make much sense given mafia are at their weakest day 1 not knowing shit, so weakning that advantage civs have doesn’t make a lot of sense either. Mafia claiming mafia…this is a little more plausible as it could just prompt the claimer to get investigated and come up clean and despite knowing mafia has a forger it would be more likely that onces someone is declared clean the civs are less likely to put his head on the chopping block anytime soon.
This game I’m not going to over think shit, and I’ll try to be more transparent than usual and I’ll try to value the civ cause over self preservation, but no promises lol. Yes I was busy with end of SRK shenanigans and preperations to read this thread, but I also milked my day 1 reputation to skip out on this game just before day 1 deadline so I would have enough information to make the best decision day 1 which sets the tone for the rest of the game and yes knowing the trade off that late votes are suspicious and that everyone may be asleep and/or have their mind made up by the time I post this close to deadline.
DG with an excellent page 3 post, I hadn’t even considered what info UC gets I assumed UC would get current alignment and be able to be tricked by third paty recruitment gimmicks. For now I’ll hold off on lynching you as that kind of thought process is not something mafia would typically bluff volunteering for survivability. I’m not sure I agree with the let sleeping dogs lie sentiment on third party, I look at it as a cancer you need to stop it before it spread, but I have no current plan of attack on third party, so going for who’s mafia and who’s not and leaving out third party altogether for now is my play until I have something to contribute to that end.
Mafia will typically have a couple wallflowers who skate by, can’t do much about that at the moment, but every game there’s always at least 1 mafia who talks a fair bit, and ideally mafia will post enough to not get wallflower hunted, but not actually contribute anything meaningful, and though it’s a quite a shot in the dark, I see Bious fulfilling that role especially the way he’s driving chadouken to start a bandwagon on page 4. And no Bious wanting to lynch me has no basis on me wanting to lynch him. And JC with the iron defense of Bious being civilian…because reasons.
Also DG and everyone else don’t waste any head space on fishjie at all dude is my fucking bro I’d take a bullet for the guy even if he wasn’t one of the best posters GD’s ever had, it’s that simple dude is a loyal ass friend, but also the most patronizing, condescending asshole this side of George Clooney.
So yeah BD and Bious, something for reasons I stated above definitely off about them if I die first which seems likely unfortunately for me, kill those two please. I’m going to vote BD that mafia claim just does not sit well with me, while Bious just seems stirred up with no real rationale behind his post hiding under the guise of “hey I’m biased I don’t like Zoo so don’t mind my leaps of logic”.

Alpha picking up on it, plus his analysis of how 3p should play, kinda made me think he’s actually the 3p. I think Bious picked up on that too. BK, your reaction is still kinda bad though, you usually play more than just voting a guy who’s voting you. Cynt is fishy too for discounting that you could be anti-civ.

@Raij1n thank you for being #3 on my mafia list right after BD and Bious. Remember these 3, and let’s not get splintered we must use every minute we have to collaborate and choose lynches wisely, but at the same time be decisive and authoritative, like that game MP died and got to use his power to stay in game and lead civs to victory (we did win that one right? lol). Laziness and confusion are mafias best tools.
And thanks @Synonym and @Reiraku for this final game it feels good to be back and to play a mafia game on SRK no offense to the JTM, but there is something about doing it on this forum that makes it feel right…if only kaz and Adam Warlock were available to play this final game lol oh well.
