I had 2 epiphanies tonight:
1: Holy shit Guilty Gear is so FUCKING fun. I dl’d the demo and was like WHOA. I’ve owned the Wii version for awhile, but now that I actually know a few things about fighting games I can play it for real instead of just mashing. 2 hours of demo and then I took a break before my eyes melted.
2: Holy shit Fist of the North Star is SO GOOD. Finally getting around to finishing Ken’s Rage after going on an anime and manga binge involving FotNS. There are not enough manly tears for the aftermath of the last fight. Good grief.

last night i dreamed of a movie trailer of street fighter.
gouken was played by of all people samuel l. jackson and ken was played by owen wilson and they were training in a american dojo and it was a classic training montage depiction and gouken kept telling ken he had to beat ryu at the japan martial arts championship tourney. he kept saying that the fame had gone to ryu’s head and he was now abusing his power at the currrent title holder of the championship belt.
then i woke up.

Procedurally generated forest. Particles, trees, grass, rocks, etc are all randomly placed and sized each time the game runs. Hard to see but there is also depth of field, which I’m proud of.
