I’ve been referring to it as feudalism for over ten years.
I’m no fucking hippie.
I call it as it is.
Also, there ain’t no “neo” about it. Feudalism in practice was exactly this. The rise of Mercantilism is a direct consequence of “medieval” feudalism. What? This is where you always lived? This land, that is proper to you, that you sustain yourselves and your families upon? Fuck you. I’m a lord. Go live/die on the streets/in the church bread line. I need this land for SHEEP.
Also, on the point of education: is it really any wonder that want to shut down the potential for people of like minds, who wish to expand said minds?
The thing they fear most is having a nation of properly educated people who might call them on their bullshit.
There is a reason why religion has gotten an even firmer grasp on this country, and it isn’t The Holy Spirit.
Just as there is a reason as to why liberal arts degrees are vanishing around the nation.
Knowledge is power; historical, philosophical, and social knowledge is great power that the rich fear.
By myself, I am but one university educated man.
Get enough of us together, though, and enough of us go “missing”, and then things might start rolling towards the better fork of this path of one of two futures being an inevitability. Revolution or Third World obscurity and poverty. These are really the only foreseeable outcomes of the path our evil corporate masters have lead us down.
When the POTUS refers to the Constitution as “just a piece of paper”, then it is high time that we, the people, get rid of the assholes shitting all over it and us.
Perhaps we might, oh, I don’t know, re-create the U.S.A.
That place where the constitution represented not merely some man, some thing - but every citizen, and everything.
As I see it.
