I meant why is it so fucking shitty? It’s parody-style shitty. There "OH NO YOU DIDN’T"s and black woman eye/neck rolling, and "AWW HELL NAWWW"s and a white lady trying to talk “street.” It is fucking AMAZINGLY hackneyed.
I’d really want to see what happens to the belief systems of various people if an advanced alien species shows up, formally announces their presence…and proceeds to explain with irrefutable evidence (and in as much detail as possible) that they had a prominent role in the “origin story” of humanity. That would really be something…like a sudden turning point in a story that is done mostly for shock value…it immediately changes so many things. Of course you’d then have those that would refuse to believe the aliens, and dismiss them and/or their spokesperson as a “false prophet”, or a possible trick by Satan or perhaps a test of faith by God…or whatever. It would be interesting to see how it all plays out. It would be similar to that great moment when Neo meets The Architect, and he calmly explains things while sounding like an eloquent encyclopedia+thesaurus that gained the ability to speak.
*Where are the vampire games? Zombies have been “in style” and showing up in a billion games in the past few years now… why are vampires still a rarity? There’s some horrible looking shit called Vampire Rain that came out about 2 or 3 years ago that everyone forgot, my precious Unreal Championship 2 (still one of my favorite games of all time; the “Necris” characters are vamps) and the possibility to make your character a vampire in the Elder Scrolls games from what I’ve read…and the modern Castlevania game…and I think that’s it, basically. It’s strange to me that the vamps and werewolves are NOT the current trend in video games. Where’s Blood Omen franchise and the main man KAIN!? (*the Raziel character design didn’t appeal to me that much) There’s the new 2d Blood Rayne, so I guess that’s a start. Come on, industry…get this show on the road and make some magic happen.
