Light travels at the speed of light. To get somewhere 4000 light years away would take 4000 years if u travel at light speed.
Can someone explain why it is impossible to travel faster than the speed of light?? Imagine standing on a speeding training, if the train is a max speed and you start running even though you aren’t physically running faster than the train, but to someone standing still watching, you are moving faster. Think this is called relative speed or something (i wasn’t any good at physics). So if you apply this analogy to light, how could it be impossible to travel faster than the speed of light.

I want to say it’s because scientists have not gotten any particles to move faster than light. Which means that we don’t have the technology to shoot a tiny particle at the speed of light let alone a human.
It may be proven later that we can move faster than light, but our current technology doesn’t allow us to move faster than light.

I know that logically, a gaming laptop is not a good idea. But for work I’ve been running a desktop replacement for about 6 months and I love having the extra space and stuff. I wanted to transition this to my main PC, even though I know Gaming Laptops are not the greatest idea, the thought of having it working as a desktop (external PC, mouse, monitor) with the ability to take it to lans and stuff is appealing. Plus my son is 1 1/2 and he has learned how to turn off my desktop, which means I’d like to get it up off the floor and somewhere he can’t touch it.
