Is Iron Chef America a real reality show or is it rigged as I suspect? To be more specific as a long time fan I really don’t know if the challengers let the show know their pick (and the IC) in advance or if his/her pick is really unknown until it’s time to pick. Also are the contestants told what the secret ingredient is in advance or not? It seems every time both contestants know exactly what they want to do down to the most minute detail with every course and it just so happens that every ingredient they want to use happens to be available. Logically at least some if not most of the time some contestants should find out an ingredient they want to use isn’t available. And every contestant always seems to have his/her team on point in coordination every episode.
The show presents itself as 100% reality improvisational cooking yet every episode the prep, cooking, and teamwork come off as well rehearsed or is every single contestant just that amazing of a chef?
