SRK Lounge v.12 There once was a RockB from Nantucket

I don’t understand how in the goddamn fucking fuck you can put something in a specific place and it vanishes like MAGIC. Oh that’s right, it’s because the world and life itself hates me. Yeah life, I hate you right back. If life itself were a person, I would’ve set the son of a bitch on fire a long time ago. I’d carve the bitch’s eyes out and fry them in a skillet.

I was gonna ask someone, if that was still possible?

It already has been. Check out the relationship thread.

oh man woke up to 40 new posts to read

The relationship thread is 10 pct good advice and 90 YO DAWG HIT DAT SHIT WITH A BAT!

That’s every SRK thread.

Fixed.

i like the comparison to cyborg and “us” as real people because we use cell phones.

Cool. Kind of like what MARVEL did a few months ago.

Marvel did the renumbering with the #600 issues, and they do “reboots” every other year anyway.

HEROES REBORN
HEROES RETURN
AVENGERS DISASSEMBLED
NEW AVENGERS
MIGHTY AVENGERS
SECRET AVENGERS
DARK AVENGERS
HEROIC AGE
AVENGERS VOLUME 4
NEW AVENGERS VOLUME 2

And double the list and triple the amount of titles for the X-books.

I didn’t even make a single one of those up, they are all real “THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN” type story arcs. Fucking comics are all bullshit now, it’s all the same stuff.

Marvel reshuffles the Avengers or the X-Men every year, and DC has some sort of retarded multiverse/reality reboot event every year, it’s the same crap.

Marvel just keeps releasing shittier shit over and over again, but at least they are self aware. I think they have a pretty good idea and actually know that they are assholes. But I don’t think DC is aware of how retarded they have gotten in the last few years, and that actually scares me more.

So what MARVEL did after Onslaught?

hi carpet lint

I wonder if I should start taking in suggestions for future thread titles.

I think you should call it “FUCK YOU AND YOUR IMAGES DIRT MCGIRT JKLJGWEILGJWIGJWILJ FUUUUUUUUU”

I mean, those broads know what theyre doing when they rock those spandex. I love it…

DC is monkeying with their continuity? What a novel situation that has never happened ever.

(So many fucking Wolverine teams in those FrameAdvantageCom videos. Ugh. At least there were some really competent C. Vipers, though.)

Hmmm…I feel like I should ask Million something with regards to his job since the CA branch seems to have fucked something up, but I’ll just send things end and see if they get sorted out. If not, then I’ll just see what I can do about it next week.

You contribute to society?!

I don’t know. I just kinda of thought you whored yourself out, hence why you never talked about your job or bemoaned it here AFAIK: you were too busy just moaning, you strumpet.

Haha. Yeah, I feel this way too, but often it’s just the fact that you’re looking too hard with your limited human perception or that somebody’s moved your stuff. I’m guessing Dumbass doesn’t have access to your house, correct?

I wonder if that means they’ll do a brain tumor arc with him within the next decade.

This. So very much this.

It probably helps that Deadpool’s gotten really popular within the last half of a decade and She-Hulk had something of a minor popularity boost. I can’t think of a well-known/popular DC character that breaks the fourth wall and talks about how inane things have become.

Completely forget about it and never talk about that shit again when Heroes Reborn finished.

Seriously, NO ONE mentions the Onslaught thing. It’s like Xavier or Franklin Richards or Reed Richards mind-raped everyone.

re: cyborg brain tumor arc: i wouldn’t be surprised tbh.

I guess The Joker demonstrates fourth wall awareness on an infrequent basis, and Final Crisis basically turned out to be one big in-universe acknowledgement that the stories told in DC Comics are, in fact, stories.

And The Sandman, technically a DC property, often revels in the fact that it is a story (about stories about stories…), though I’m not sure it ever overtly acknowledges the audience or the fact that it’s a comic book.

I really can no longer imagine this forum without imbedded images now, they are so integral to the way we communicate now.

That would still be a job, though. I never specified exactly what duties I am gainfully employed to perform. My hypothetical employment in such a role could still include coworkers and computer screens - these are not mutually exclusive ideas, I mean it’s 2011 afterall, all business models have to adapt.

For the record, I work for the best - well, the fourth best - in-flight magazine in the business. I just wrote an article for Continental about Peter Falk’s favorite restaurants in San Fransisco.

Animal Man probably has the best executed fourth wall breaking stories in comics. I associate him with that type of thing more than either Deadpool or She-Hulk.

Lots of Lobo stories have done that too, and the whole character in general is kind of written in that vein.
