For the same reason the old graphics card I bought online for $85 was $250 and half the RAM at Best Buy: It’s Best Buy.
That’s where they make most of their money.
Best Buy: "Here’s your 40 inch 1080 T.V. - $450!!!
Cables, speakers, power supply/surge protector, warranty…
… your total comes to $1050, sir - please show your receipt and left retina to the conspicuously large male by the door on your way out.
EDIT:
Goddammit Pertho!
You beat me to the post…
I like to refine an answer, then blow it the fuck up with witty embellishments, prior to posting.
I thought the first Blade was really cool. For a long time I considered it the best of the live-action marvel movies.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
The final fight of Blade 2 vs Nomak was so great though. Loved it. It really stands out of all the Blade movies.
Speaking of #1 (Iron Man)
I just bought that again this evening (lost it in the move), and just finished watching it yet again, before getting back on here.
Terrance Howard was a MUCH better Rhodes than Cheadle was.
There.
I said it.
Fight me.
I agree. What’s to fight about?
Is that why you don’t have correct sentence punctuation?
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
I’m old. You win.
Don Cheadle is the better actor.
By FAR.
But not for that role.
I stand by this, like Daniel San.
My leg may be gimp, but I’m gonna toss that oragami kick out for the win on this one.
Guys, if I wanted to see two black people fight I’d simply throw a dollar bill on the ground.
Well they might as well change their name to Worst Buy.
Thanks for the input. Actually, I posted again a few posts down stating what the stamina gauge would govern.
Here are the modes that I have written:
[details=Spoiler]
[]**Arcade: **the standard single-player mode where you fight various opponents and reach the final boss. The final boss should be challenging, but not cheap, as most final bosses tend to be.
[]**Versus: **this mode offers the standard 1v1 play, but also offers team play, tag mode, tournament, and special conditions.
[]Single play: the standard one-on-one mode.
[]Team play: This is a team-based match where you can have 2 to 5 fighters per side.
[]Tag: This is a 2v2 mode where you can swap in fighters at will. Matches end when both fighters on one side are defeated.
[]Tournament: this is an 8-player, double elimination mode where players fight to be #1.
[]Special Conditions: In this mode, conditions are applied to each match. The conditions that are applied are random. Special mode serves to force the player to change their strategy when certain features aren’t available to them. Here are some examples of conditions:
[]Jump disabled
[]Every hit is a counter hit
[]No blocking
[]Corners cause damage
[]No projectiles
[]Infinite special meter/exhaustion gauge
[]Less gravity
[]etc.

[]**Training: **this mode should be full of features, as most good players will spend most of their time here. Beyond the usual features, there will be the following:
[]a speed setting so that players can slow down the game, or even freeze and advance it frame by frame so they can check the timing on moves and combos.
[]The ability to show collision boxes, as well as an explanation of what each box is for.
[]Frame advantage/disadvantage counter. Can be used to help the player figure out which moves are safe and which ones are not.
[]An online training mode where you can practice with a friend. This is a highly-requested feature in the fighting game community.
[]The ability to record, save and upload any training sessions to the Internet.
[]You can take snapshots at any time and save them to the hard disk. The player would have the option to remove the HUD before saving the file.
[]Tutorial: teaches the player how to play 2DF. There would be three levels of tutorials: basic, intermediate, and advanced. In addition to a brief explanation of each system, there will be exercises the player will have to perform to help them understand the game. Important terms should be highlighted, and by pressing a certain button, a pop-up window should appear, providing the definition of the term.
[]Basic: explains things like moving, dashing, basic attacks, the health bar, timer, the special meter, and how to perform special moves.
[]Intermediate: covers the application of the special meter, various canceling techniques and any systems unique to the game.
[]Advanced: covers things like frame advantage, applying pressure, defending against mixups, etc.
[]**Challenge: **this mode is divided into two submenus: Combo and Trial.
[]Combo: this mode focuses only on combos for each character. The goal here should be to give the player some practical combos, i.e. combos that would be good to use in vs. Mode. The combos should focus primarily on viability, rather than length. One of the problems of recent fighting games is that the combos are so long that part of the combo is cut off the screen. The game should only check if a combo is completed; this means that the player is free to add moves or perform actions, so long as they fulfil the combo. Each character has 10 combo challenges.
[]Trial: this consists of specific situations for each character. Trials serve to help the player understand a character’s playstyle. The goal of the trials should be to present highly interesting situations. For example, one trial might be to keep an opponent in the air for 10 seconds. Another trial might be to defeat an opponent with high health using a character with low damage, and it must be done in 15 seconds. The trials should only state the objective and any special conditions, and nothing more. The idea is to get the player to think about how to solve each situation without any help. This will help them in vs. Play. There are 10 trials for each character.
[]**Replay: **this mode allows you to watch any matches that were downloaded from the Internet. You can also save your last 10 local or online matches. Integrated YouTube support could allow you to upload your matches with quality up to 1080p without having to leave the game. What this means is that you could play the game while the file is uploading, however the player should be locked out of online play when this happens. This would prevent players from playing the game with a busy connection, which would mess up the experience for others. The Training, Combo and Trial modes can also be saved and uploaded.
[]*Color Edit: Allows the player to change the colours of each character. The player should have full access to the color spectrum (i.e. RGB can be set from 0 to 255) for each part that’s editable. The color edit mode should be similar to *TheKing Of Fighters XIII’s system. Note: if this game uses 3D graphics, then it should allow for accessories, and the game could allow for purchasing/earning accessories throughout the game, similar to Virtua Fighter.
[]**Music Edit: **ideally, the music should be so good that the player will not want to change the music. However, it’s not possible to satisfy the tastes of every player. Music Edit should allow the player to change every theme in the game, from the character select music to the game over music. Any music supplied would come from the player’s hard drive. The music would begin and end where appropriate, so when transitioning between menus, the current music would stop while the next one loads. In the event where the custom music is not available, the game should switch back to the default track.
[]**Vault: **This mode is basically a shop where players can buy various things with in-game currency. Currency can be earned in all modes except Training. Examples of items that can be bought:
[]Artwork that could be used to change the wallpaper in the menus.
[]New music that can then be used in Music Edit.
[]New accessories for characters. *Only if using 3D graphics!
[]New modes
[]“Making of” videos
[]etc.
[]**Online Play: **this allows players to play the game over the Internet. Matches can be recorded and saved to the hard drive, and later uploaded to the Internet. Available modes of play are the same as in Versus. In all modes, matches can be spectated or you can practice against the CPU while you wait. While spectating, players can bet on who wins a match. All bets go into a pot; the winner takes the entire pot. Players earn currency for winning matches; Tournament mode offers the biggest payout to the top player.[/details]

They went for irony.
Nah.
He portrayed him pretty well.
Cheadle took him into nigh thuggin’ territory, and I never read him that way in the comics.
Who the fuck did Terrance play “yes man” to?
Any time Stark annoyed him he basically told him to shut the fuck up, except when it was in his interests not to (good liquor and hos, unparalleled new tech for the gov., etc.)
Hustle and Flow is one of my most favorite movies.
Whenever I watch that movie I am like “I CAN FIX MY SHITTY LIFE”
He beat the crap out of Ludacris. TAKE THAT SKINNY BLACK. He also should have won an oscar for that movie. Too bad that year was pretty stacked with two legit white people performances in Brokeback Mountain and Capote.
BOOOOOOOOOOO!
i’m not supposed to win. :bluu:
I agree and disagree.
Rhodey was always a bit more serious and had less swag than what THow brought to his part in the movie.
However… I didn’t give a shit. I liked the swag. It’s not like the marvel movies are canon or exactly like the comics.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying in his best Terrence Howard voice:
Next time baby.
this game is about to be serious shenanigans. shatta just showed me and i started laughing hard. 8 min mark is where to start.

Word up I love Van Helsing to. I actually choose to put that DVD in. I wanna see Cowboys an Aliens, but it hasn’t come on TV yet. I really like Daniel Craig.
Ah hey glad you like it man. Took me forever to find a character I loved that would also be instantly recognizable as a Silhouette. Also wanted to keep the theme of someone who is sexually dominating. I think my choice worked out even better then I had hoped.
And why are people acting like liking Blade 1 is not a common thing around here? I thought 99% of SRK was gay as fuck for Blade 1.
The original Blade is as good as Big Bang Theory is terrible.
He stuffed Luda’s face in the toilet.
I’m here to throw some game
They both one and the same
My bladder is to blame
PLEASE SHIT ON ME
I’m here to shed some light
Cuz each and every night
I take a dump and wipe
FLUSH… ME!
You actually watched Brokeback? I’ve never seen it. I’m too homophobic.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
Wait… homophobia is the fear of gays right? What if it just repulses you? I’m not scared of men kissing each other. It just makes me wanna throw up. Is that the same thing?
Oh, I agree that he made him a*** lil’*** too affable and buddy cop.
But you kind of get the implication that he’s gonna shine in the next film.
Not just because of the line, but because of the way he builds the character up.
Cheadle makes him too dickish, imo.
