I’m going to have to move out because i have this new roommate who doesn’t flush the toilet. There have been several incidents since this persons move in where I would walk in the bathroom to see a surprise shit in the toilet. It’s been pissing me off, and i’ve spoken to this person and left a sign demanding that people flush the fucking toilet. Why the hell is this so hard to do? Just earlier today, i was once again greeted with this nasty persons shit, and the gross part is that it didn’t even hit the water. The shit was stuck at the sides and it took almost 7 flushes plus a bucket of bleach to get it out. I had enough.
I’ve been looking around areas in NYC but prices are so fucking expensive, and the affordable areas are either for women only or in bad areas that are uninhabitable unless you want to get shot or mugged during the night. I went to Jersey City, and prices are more affordable but Journal Square looks shady as hell, there was a bunch of scary black people fighting each other around the corner, and JC has a high reputation of crime in comparison to NYC. Black people make moving out so hard.
Is your roommate’s name Will? Because that was my last roommate and that motherfucker was awful at flushing. My gf even had attacked him over that shit.
Journal Square is fine. I lived there for two years before moving to NY. It looks rough but isn’t if you’re not an easy mark. I used to even walk around there at 5 a.m. or so and no one really fucked with me. It’s getting redone into luxury buildings so trust me, you’re gonna be fine out there.
I’ll even stop by on my way to visit my parents or after work and grab a drink with you at Journal Square Pub. Or we can ride the train to Hoboken and get some pretty decent drinks and food.
I sat buy the corner of Journal Square, and i saw two fat hootrat ladies fighting over something, there were a few old people trying to separate them. As i was watching one crazy quite black guy approached me and one white dude who looked like he was on crack were coming towards me… that shit bugged me a lot. All though, the area in a whole does look pretty good. It’s cleaner than the Bronx by far.
I’m still not decided yet on JC because I’m getting some referrals to a cheap place in Astoria, but from what i heard JC seems like the better choice (better room, financially practical). I’m not really familiar with the commute systems of JC such as the path train, i’m hoping it’s not a pain to commute from or too NYC late at night.
JFK Blvd is huge so you have to be specific. Let’s just focus on the part around JSQ. Overall, it has pretty decent lighting, but even in the good parts you might eat a mugging or two. Shit, one happened to my friend in broad ass daylight. But if you’re in the Bronx you should let the threat of a mugging just slide off your shoulders.
As far as the PATH is concerned, it’s legit. Not as often as the MTA, but it’s still good. I survived on it throughout college and was always fine. I take it three days a week to work and for the most part it’s okay. Sometimes it gets delays but if you’re living in JSQ you can always take a bus to NY. Much easier than trying to get to Newark.
JSQ has a lot of families, just know that. You’ll get hoodrats because there’s a community college there. It’s also the bus hub of Hudson County. You know what they say about buses and black people so yeah, gotta sort of expect that shit to happen.
Negative as in they multiplied it by a positive number therefor giving you money? Or did they knowingly multiply it by a negative so they could get some money?
Definitely a billing error. They dont charge interest on negative balance but my guess is you likely missed your bill cut off time and paid in the intermediate.
Best part is that the account is supposed to be closed. So they charged interest on the negative number of a closed account. Then the person on the line tried to explain to me how it made sense because i had accrued interest on the month before I paid. Apparently they wont just mail me the check with the negative amount, i have to ask for it.
The lady had to ask for help because she didnt understand the basic issue.
She sounded black.
