SRK Lounge The Drama Free Edition...haha I can't even type it without laughing

Oddly enough, everyone I know that plays D&D irl is black

i was blanking on the name but thats who i was thinking of as well as richard prior show were the forefathers to the dave chapelle show.

Not odd at all. They just create white characters in the game.
I’d love to play with Maxx, he would just go around with his caucasian dwarf to ye olde supermarkets and enjoy going up and down the aisles without getting stares from security.

but but but but but with out the womenz how would i solve simple problems after i have kids!!! If i learned anything from watching TV it’s that as soon as i have kids my IQ drops 50 points.

how many of you guys have played D&D? I have on multiple occassions but the guy who DM’s is a disable vet and moody. So he randomly dropped the two campaigns he started. Pretty fun but he wouldn’t let me do the really scummy stuff you can do in the game.

i have, twas fun.

Go work on your HHS.

Oh I agree it’s happened before. But when characters died, especially big ones, it was usually a major event. Look at the death of Captain Marvel, or Jean Grey, who wasn’t allowed to return for a looooong time.

Then Superman died, and death suddenly became something you just did to a character several times, whenever things got boring. And nobody believes it anymore. Death has become such a joke, that Marvel had to make a separate universe where death actually means something.

this…this is actually an amazing idea. I haven’t played in years (I had an elf named Keebler), but would love to see how we could play it here.

barry stayed dead for a while tho, even after all that. also uncle ben is still dead.

…ok :frowning:

still, that video just sounded like “my first beer at comic con” seen and heard that convo a million times

O_o

I had no idea Lounge was into D&D, when I tried to start an online campaign a month ago this was the last place I would have looked lol.

I just hate how D&D got the “simpleton nerf” when 4th edition came out.

yall could play hackmaster, they bought the second edition rules

oh cause its for the mainstream fan…oh who am i kidding lolol.

I was going to use the new Mutants & Masterminds rules, they seem a lot better than the previous edition as long as we can keep someone from dumping all his points into warping the very fabric of space and reality, that shit got old quick.

how is 5th? I stopped when 4th dropped.

Yeah, that is true. And while Superman didn’t stay dead, Pa Kent certainly did. But look at stupidity like Aunt May. She’s been shot and dying how many times? Eventually leading to the stupidity of OMIT. After Superman “died”, shit got lazy and ugly with comic studios. Death became too much of a gimmick.

I am probably big on Dark Heresy still at the moment, because at heart I am a 14 year old boy and 40k appeals to the 14 year old boy so fuckinnn harrrrrd

the first time I ever played was with 3.0. First campaign I sat down for was 4.0 since he DM guy had been playing since 1st. Except shit got boring really fast since all your characters do is their at-will and that’s about it. If they could merge the at-will attacks with the everything else in 3.5 it’d be pretty bomb.

Or maybe we can go total hardcore and play Rifts. But I must warn you all, I only have the core book, a few supplement books and the only land book I have is Canada. So you will be fighting demonic vampiric cyborg sasquatches all day.
