Oh hell yeah…that inspired me to simply look up a “wikilegs” and surprise surprise, there’s one of those too. INSTANT BOOKMARK status. I’ve actually been lazy about the gathering of “material” on the internet for the past year or so… I’ve only kept up with a few reliable regular spots.

So, yeah, I think I’m going to take a bit of a break from MvC3 already. Nothing to do with gameplay or anything. It’s just that it turns out this callus on my thumb is infected or something, so it’s rather painful to play anything and it makes not be able to do DP motions worth shit without being rather annoying. (The massive motion overlap already existent in this game isn’t helped by my extreme clumsiness.)
If anyone wants to play, though, provided it helped by Tuesday I should be back on by then.
Like Gorath said, the appeal of Jean should be Phoenix AND Dark Phoenix (maybe) and not just Dark Phoenix.
I’ve been one for glass cannon characters either, but Phoenix seems kind of fun for some reason…
I guess it helps that I’m not really as fucking terrified of Dark Phoenix and Sentinel as a lot of people seem to be.
Well, you kind of annihilated me on that last match up with Guy in SSF4, so it’s not like it was entirely lopsided. I really need to get used to his weird jump angle still and maybe pick a main since I still have like…7 people I use with some regularity.
As for Marvel, well, practice is everything. It’s kind of easier to play keepaway than rushdown, at least against rushdown and Hidden Missile Doom stays out too long against keepaway for him to not die a horrible death if he’s left unattended just once; that tended to happen to Epidemic as well.
I think she probably is still more risk than reward again and actually kind of execution-heavy still, but I like SSF4, I can’t see her being anything less than decent.
It will just have to be seen if decent is more than enough to not be the absolute worst character–not that I think she is–in the game, though.
Speaking of which, despite still being weirded about his RE5 roids look, I’m actually kind of liking Chris at the moment. I have to remind myself the shotgun exists, though, and that his launcher has like inverse range like Sol’s Dust.

Morrigan also stays out longer than it seemed like she did in videos. I was kind of surprised how many times boom! hit her yesterday.
Eh, I wouldn’t say blowing people. Just staying the hell away from people because I keep dropping combos due to not being used to the system or button configuration at all–forcing myself to get used to the latter so that if I actually go to tournaments for once, I don’t waste time having to change it every match. It helps that the Magnum hits pretty damn hard, that two of my characters can makes pools of flame and that everyone has pretty safe supers.

Watched Season 5 of Futurama the other night. Pretty good, though not the strongest- I may be in the minority here, but I don’t feel like any of the seasons beat the first one, which isn’t usually the case TV shows.
I did love the episode with the body-swapping.
edit: TV season 5- the one after the movies. I guess they’re calling that season 6?
I watched the 5th season on netflix. It seemed like every episode had fry crying about leela.
I would say there’s a lot less of that, compared to earlier seasons. Actually, almost none of it.
Wow, so after fixing my bsod, windows decides to auto-restart after some automatic update. It reboots, displays the manufacturer sign on startup (dell), and goes to a black screen with a single blinking white line. It’s not even attempting to boot windows. Even after OS repair. Of course, I wasn’t even done with backing up all my shit.
I’m getting a new laptop. And I’m slamming this piece of shit into the fucking concrete and stomping the ever-loving shit out of it’s shattered remains as soon as I fucking do.

So I finally started playing Mario Galaxy after having it for like 2 or 3 years. I’ve only played it and gotten like 15 stars and got bored. My son wanted to watch me play it. Next thing I know, we’ve played like 4 hours. I’m now like 65 stars in. I can’t believe how insane this game is. It’s fucking brilliant. Why did it have to start so slow?
