Found the Japanese equivalent of Xaiver Renegade Angel. Unironically, it’s entitled GD Fairies.
I know Baby Metal gets a bad rap, but some people need to ignore the J-Pop about it and focus on the music behind it. I remember when they started touring the states in 2014 they were booked as a joke band but when they took the stage in a few metal festivals, they had the crowd on their feet. The cutesy shit is okay but the band is comprised of some of Japan’s best metal musicians. They’re all accomplished and play their instruments well. Beyond well, they’re great. They wanted to do something to stand out and they found a way to do that. I applaud them for their creativity. Baby Metal’s debut album was pretty rad, too. I still play it from time to time when I’m in the mood for head banging.
