I got the text too, but I won’t be able to pick it up until after work Tuesday. I did take Wednesday off though, under the pretense that I will spend all day in training mode getting my shit down, when in reality I’ll just spend a couple of hours with it, stop to do something else, then goof off the rest of the day on the internet…
I’m on the fence about the 3DS and NGP. I’ll probably sit it out until the “potential” in both handhelds have been realized…
I did want to get a 3DS for Ocarina of Time/Starfox 64, but learning it would be region locked took a lot of the steam out of my sails for it. I’m liking Sony’s NGP, despite the fact that I almost never used my PSP.

The newest episode of WTF at Ihop or Denny’s.
Guess the race and this one takes place at Denny’s
On a side note, I would ask what was the stupidest thing one has ever done while drunk but then again, I have passed out a few times and would not remember
So my ol’ annoying friend also plays Modnation Racers, and actually stated some of his creations were on the podium in the “Top Mods” section at one time. haha, so ridiculous. I’m not sure if he’s intentionally lying about this or if he’s genuinely fooled into believing this happened. The latter is actually possible because of what happens when you drop off the game’s servers for a moment. As they say in Yu Gi Oh when some outlandish bullshit happens…allow me to explain… Normally, people are driving around in this hub area called the “Modspot” between races, the online store and other modes. When online, you see a podium of “TOP MODS” which are the most famous and most downloaded mods at the time. The stability of the game’s servers has been “questionable” since day 1, so there are times when you’ll temporarily be disconnected for no apparent reason, though still online in PSN. When this happens, you still see the modspot area, but of course no other players… the “TOP MODS” section changes to show your mods instead of the actual top mods…so it’s possible this happened and he was actually fooled by it. I can tell his mods weren’t really up there on the podium at any point for quite a few reasons, btw.
I didn’t even feel like challenging the issue, really… I’m too nice for my own good.
*Current American Greed episode … I eagerly anticipate seeing how it all comes crashing down for him, because I genuinely despise such people. Of course that’s nothing new… I hate most people anyway, regardless of what “category” we’re talking about.
*ALERT-- Kim Guilfoyle is on Geraldo’s Foxnews show right now looking NICE. She has a skin-tight red minidress and some sheer black stockings…the hem of the skirt is above mid-thigh level! I’d pay just to touch those thighs for a few seconds.
does the pre-order come with bonus stuff or something? why do people loan gamestores their money, i don’t get it. do they not have best buys/wal mart where you guys are at?
Yes it does but my question is, why do people buy collectors editions if they mass produce them, thus negating the collectors or limited edition purpose
Anyways, I buy most of my games off others, Amazon or Walmart.
It’s not like I’m expecting Nintendo to intentionally make a seizure-inducing machine (or, at least, admit to such). I just don’t see the point, really.
No such thing exists.
Seriously, fuck Valentine’s Day. (And this is the last I will speak of it because I will be intentionally busy and offline tomorrow.)
Soo many good times with XSF’s retarded-ness back in the day.
None of the new portables look like Day One buys, though I’m leaning toward NGP. I was hoping to sell a launch 3DS on eBay but I couldn’t pre-order in time.
Don’t really feel like I’ve been missing it either. I’m never really on commutes where I’m not walking or driving where it would take a long enough time to actually invest in playing a handheld. When I am, it’s on a plane or a train. I suppose it would be good for multimedia, but I have my phone & laptop for that stuff.
Maybe when I move to Korea and have to deal with subway rides to get anywhere, but personally, I just prefer reading, writing, watching TV/Movies, listening to music or people watching to playing games. Plus I kind of got scared off TSA is already too anal about stuff, and I don’t want people to no longer get spoons with their in flight meal because I killed someone with one, or force cops to ride the Seoul subways. Well, they honestly should anyways, those peddlers always jumping on Subways and yelling and getting up in everyone’s grill trying to sell them CDs, gum, even knockoff purses. If I had known how to say “How about I just give you 1000 won, you keep your breath mints for yourself, and shut up?” in Korean, I would’ve.
I’d say very few pieces of hardware are really day-one buys, usually if you wait you get the better, more stable version of the hardware at a cheaper price. PS3 may be the sole exception to that though with the first generation fatties and their BC.
Speaking of first gen PS3’s, I’m going to try to repair mine. Nothing to lose. I bought the tools I need off Amazon, so I may attempt the operation this weekend.
What’s the plan if you succeed? Sell the Slim? Keep both and just for a spare/bragging rights? Downgrade the firmware on the Fat so that you can install Linux on it, thus finally giving you a computer again?
I actually do have a computer now. Mom sent one - she was like “Yeah…gonna need you to be emailing me pics of my granddaughter, so…”
If I succeed, I’m going to keep it as a backup. Since I can’t play so much at home anymore, I can stash away the fat and play in secret sometimes away from home. I also realized that my fat American PS3 is pretty much the only way I can watch my collection of American DVD’s or play American PS2 games, as my PS2 and now slim PS3 are both Japanese.
Yeah, but the tools to fix a PS3 should cost less than that, so if he can fix the PS3, then why not do that? Plus all the insurance purposes that carries with it (if one PS3 dies, the other will work, and he can probably fix the next broken one as well)
