Ryu’s pretty much always been middle tier in everything except for SF4, hasn’t he?
I’m aware of this. My point was that all those character still suck even when they can get in unlike other versus games.
For example, it’s actually not that difficult for Sonson to get in (for a really low tier character). Just not much for her to do once she gets in between her awkward attacks, only having one useful super (with a fickle hitbox) and only really being able to end combos with an uppercut that gets her killed if it misses.
Oh no doubt. But when it comes to getting in to deal damage he seems to have problems, at least when I tried. Normally, I would blame this on the game being new and me not knowing how to play him properly (which is valid), but I don’t need to expend that amount of effort with X-23, Wolverine, or even Haggar (who is surprisingly good at closing distance somehow).
Haggar is strangely fun, and the fact that he has pretty good defense works well for him too. I wouldn’t mind learning him.
I always feel dumb when I reserve game I really want and they break street date, but then again I had a gamestop card and can be patient so it’s all good.
I can’t wait to lose to Adam Warlock 300 times in a row again. This time I will actually try to learn how to play and get mad when I die though.

Wasn’t Ryu top in one of the SF2 games? HF I think? V-Ryu was very near top in A3, and CvS1 Ryu was also fairly good (sweep into Shin Shoryuken? Yes please!) but it’s really hard to tier that game. I actually do play Ryu, but since everyone and their mom plays him in 4 I actively don’t use him. Unless you play in Japan, where everyone plays Cammy/Vega online.
She’s good. Healthy and growing up normally - can’t ask for more.

Still rather early to be saying things beyond “this combos into this” definitively, though I wouldn’t surprised in the unlikely event that SRK doesn’t explode come Feb. 15th that a tier list thread pops up on the MvC3 forums…
I still don’t understand the point of the 3DS–I mean besides “money”. I guess I’m still weary of the whole 3D thing between finding it stupid and it hurting my eyes. Not exactly a good combination, that.
Actually, doesn’t the 3DS already have some type of ocular warning attached to it? I mean, beyond the whole “all Japanese products cause seizures” one.
When it comes to hardware, Nintendo makes pretty reliable stuff. And of course they will have test hardware at gaming stores so we can see for ourselves.
Plus, I’m sure you can toggle the 3D functionality on and off.

This is my first pre-order with Gamestop B&M, since this is the first time I’ve had a Gamestop in town to pre-order with, so I was shocked they send out texts.
I did pre-order Vanilla SF4 & BlazBlue CT. SSF4, I just didn’t care. It was going to be easier for me to start playing it ASAP if I just walked into Walmart at midnight and say “I want it. Give it to me.”
