I used to fix stuff all the time. When I was much younger I dismantled a Sega Genesis controller after I’d spilled Otter Pop all over it - cleaned it off and got it working just fine again. I haven’t dismantled/repaired anything in a while, and the PS3 looks like a bitch and a half, but like I said, nothing to lose. Looking forward to the challenge. The repair process itself looks easy enough, the problem is going to be dismantling it and then properly reassembling it.

just saw 2 documentaries on gaming addiction in the span of a week. One based in Korea (on Aljazeera) and the other in the UK on (bbc1). Can you really be so addicted to games that you dont even think about getting laid?
That’s exactly the life I live. I’ve been Jason fucking Bourne for the past several years, so a handheld with console-ish games is tailor-made for me… but not everyone lives that way. Ultimately, I’m just tired of hooking up consoles to TVs. It’s similar to the laptop vs tower argument for general PC use.
I’ve been lucky enough to never have game hardware break down on me, although it’s a good idea to take a step back and listen to early adopter feedback (cough 360 cough). Software-wise, I was never into overblown adventures that take years of development time. I never have to wait too long for a good arcade-style game… the wait is even shorter on handheld (most of the time).
Yeah the layout threw me off, when I went to forums and didn’t notice GD my panic mode went off before I saw “view all”. I saw a locked thread a bit lower about a Morrigan cosplay, that guy needs to see the porn with the Morrigan cosplayer much much better.
and lol @ premium. First time i bought it for 6 months and got a ban for trolling the day I bought it. I would just add this thread and a few others to my chrome tabs and say fuck the front page.
Guys if you want to whine about the new layout take it to the feedback forum. This thread is already getting regulated, I don’t need 6 pages of “fuck this new layout”.

I wouldn’t say that. The lazy new users complained about not being able to “find” the matchmaking forums and in the new layout its a quick link from the tabs at that…thingy at the top.
So I think they listen…weather they listen to the right requests or not is another deal entirely.
