Hahaha:rofl:. I guess the good thing about SF4 was that the community didn’t have to address how unlikable the made the games to new people so they wouldn’t want to play them ever again. I spent time helping people get better at this and M:TG just because I didn’t want them to get discouraged by random shit they’d never thought possible.
The FGC is either really dumb or intellectually dishonest. They can pick apart SF4 but they’re unable to note what’s bad about past games.
Even worse there are a lot of people who are like the Tea Party idiots commenting on Obama. There are plenty of things wrong with Obama, but they just make shit up to blast him on. Same thing with SF4. I still see people saying :df::df::p: works, but it doesn’t.
Nobody can recognize a good game from a sideshow and that’s why fighting games will forever be shit. There is no hope on the horizon.
As much as i love me some ahvb and the shitty parts of marvel and games in the past, they did have their flaws. What makes games bad now a days are the abundance of comeback mechanics making the skill you needed to learn first from the old games isn’t as required to jump in and play as it used to be when you have xfactor/ultra combos/gems.
That’s why skullgirls is such a good game. It’s got all the great parts of the old games, no real bullshit (yet) and no comeback mechanics. Just a damn good fighting game. I can’t praise it enough and can’t stop saying it might be the best fighting game I’ve ever played.

That’s because most of the community refuses to admit that they just play whatever is new and call it a day. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but, people going around making statements of whether or not a game is tournament viable…whatever man. People need to fez up to the fact that they play a combination of new/fun; with fun being a huge factor in it. But whatever, some aspects in this community are 6 shades of stupid.
I thought it was this combined with some crazed/bitchmade loyalty to Capcom.
I’d rather play vs the CPU and be in training mode all day then play vs people in a game I don’t like.
