The people who run this site are wise and benevolent. Or at least that’s been my personal experience.

Actually, when you think about it…

Is it not kind of crazy that the biggest Street Fighter site in the world, which gathers, very exclusively, a very high concentration of the target 20-40 year old video game demographic with the largest personal discretionary income that most advertisers would kill to get to…is it not kind of crazy that all we see on here are interracial dating ads, Evony banners, and plain vanilla microfinacing, penis biggening Google ads?

The internet business model is pretty straight forward. Get a lot of traffic = moneymoneymoneymoney, MONEY

If you have a site that ON A DAILY BASIS, regularly pulls in like thousands and thousands of unique visitors who all fit within the same demographic and have the same basic purchasing interests, and you cannot make money off of that…? If one of the internet’s largest video game sites is still having issues financing their servers and is considering shutting down the single largest draw they have for regular returning visitors…then what the fuck is going on?

i mean we’re obviously never gonna get the truth about this shit. the best we can “hope” for is that some supermod sees our posts, gives us some bs holier than thou bullshit about how if we don’t like it we can leave and if we only knew all the nonsense they deal with and do, etc, etc, etc…

Ugh, the whiny and self-important responses to the Chris and Wesker video are so tellingly insipid. I think it might actually be giving me a headache. (Or maybe that’s just crappy health in general.)

As such, I’m currently deciding whether to try to go bed (despite having just woken up four hours ago) or to try to watch this Dying for Everest documentary that I missed the first couple of minutes of. Decisions…

Oh, I’m sure I post more than him too. I meant more that he posts a lot of one-liner shit between shitty rap links, pictures of questionable afro-centric women that I guess he wants us to know he’s fapping to and “sassy” & “clever” picture remarks/“combacks”. (I really need to abuse quotations less. I know I keep saying that, but…)

I’d say that they would like to be interested in fighting games, but given how little traffic most of the non-Street Fighter-related sections tend to get, by default it’s kind of a yes. Honestly, I’d post in Fighting Game Discussion a lot more if people actually responded beyond the usual, thankfully open-minded suspects.

I doubt they’re going to do something as drastic as considering closing General Discussion again. It already seems a lot less busy and more consolidated than it ever. Then again, that might just be because I hardly ever check General Discussion itself and instead just response or look at threads I’m already subscribed to.

My ‘homebase’ is mobile–you can’t ever be too careful of enemy attack–and it’s why I posted here a lot less around last summer/fall, but, yeah, it’s much the same for me now/again.

in other news…im having trouble sleeping lately, i sleep for the same amount of hours but the actual time i sleep has been getting progressively later and later. Like im heading to bed at 4am…im not even tired i just know i need the actual sleep. i also think i’m catching something which is annoying.

Why would anyone be OK with being disrespected? I’ve never felt the need to berate someone for not playing a game well and someone who is supporting the community at a tourney should not be made to feel like shit for not being Justin Wong.

Not even gonna lie that shit was kinda creepy. I’m usually more terrified of things like this (written from the perspective of someone “real”) as opposed to what Hollywood comes up with. As a result I am deathly terrified of the “Marble Hornets” videos on YouTube.

One night I watched a good 20 of them while I was at work (I work nights) and I had to walk home afterwards. :wasted:

Depends on the character of the person. I’ve encountered some garbage players at tournaments that act like they’re gdlk, and get pissed if you coach them. when you get to that, enjoy your humble pie.

You know, I’m willing to bet if they actually added all the cool reasons for being Prem again, we wouldn’t see any of the issues we’re currently seeing on this site. Instead of trying to cut back why not just give us the features we used to have and have people donate money like crazy? Isn’t that how it used to be?

At least here, the KFC potato wedges are actually good…much better than the fries you get at Popeye’s. Surprisingly, I also like their chicken tenders better than the Popeye’s chicken tenders…but of course, they can’t beat them out on regular chicken. Popeye’s will own that championship belt forever.

haha, I’m still laughing at people who are out there trying to drive when the roads are completely screwed up with the snow+ice combo. Why? Why would you still try to drive somewhere in those conditions? It makes sense when you’re trying to get home, but why leave home if you’re already there?

This is another thing to hate about extreme winter weather…the grocery shopping situation. Whenever there’s a special “advisory” about iced roads and snow here… you just know that there will be 32,000 people in Kroger that day, and twice that in Walmart. Shopping for groceries becomes Hell when EVERYONE in the city is shopping there at the same time…and it’s made worse by the overreaction… you’ll see folks going to the checkout line with a shopping cart that’s overflowing…probably $500 or $600 worth of groceries. They shop like we’re under threat of nuclear attack within the next few hours and it’s time to load up the special underground bunker.
