Srk has an alexa rank of 4,496 in the US, 12,766 worldwide. That means its getting a shit ton of traffic. They could look for advertising deals with Capcom, who should be happy to pay to advertise their products here. Also, I would pay to get my post count shields and join date back. They could have tiered versions of premium that could enable those features. Also Iām sure there are plenty of people here (myself included) who would be willing to donate money to SRK. Bottom line, SRK should be able to generate enough revenue to get some better servers.
I want GD to stay open. There has always been discussion of closing GD for a long time, which is unfortunate. This place is a nice community. If it ever got shut down, Iād literally feel like I was āinternet homelessā.

Anyway, I finally watched The Hangover tonight. I thought it was alright, but the randomness was forced a bit at times. Also, I didnāt catch as many memorable quotes or guffaw loudly like all my friends said they did when they first watched it. I must be a cold-hearted robotic bastard. Of course, if that was true, I would have been semi-decent in fighting gamesā¦
I never knew they thought about closing GD. If they did, all I have left is IMM. Bring back the emblems and the join date and iāll gladly donate money to SRK.

SRK crashes when you breathe on it hard. They add new features, then take them away, They have a premium subscription program, then they gradually take away all the reasons for having premium in the first place, from themes to no ads to rep to whatever. They expect the people who actually run their site, the mods, to either do their jobs with a 50 message PM box or they have to actually PAY for premium. They put in a feedback forum where they only occasionally respond to issues and they let spam bot posts accumulate for months. They let issues linger for a 9 months to a year and blame it on the board software, and meanwhile other boards running the same version of the same software donāt fuck up nearly as much or in the same ways. And then, once in a while, they take a break from playing Catan or WoW or whatever the fuck, peek in here, and do some shit that makes it clear that they donāt understand the culture of their own message board.
Basically, they donāt know what the fuck theyāre doing.
I had to pop in and say that The Lounge is probably the main reason I even bother to hang around this site anymore. Itās become my internet āhomebaseā of a sort.
I rarely post, but this section and the posters that frequent it are a constant source of entertainment, news, and even sometimes knowledge. Hell, I learned more about proper assist usage in MvC2 in the last two days than I ever have in my infrequent dabbles with the actual game. What would I do without the afro-centric Kzohās posts, and the subsequent clowning he takes? Or The Damnedās nihilistic musings? Shaft Agentās unique wit and calf fetish? A World Without Million? No sir, I do not wantā¦
Taking away the Lounge would be alienating the last remnants of SRKās Golden Age, and I would not want to lose that so that TehLastUchiha319 can make another thread about āHow do I beat people in MvC3?ā Besides, this thread filters out the bad posters pretty quickly and keeps the forum from being cluttered with a lot of inane threads that could be easily answered in one or two posts anyway.

yeah whenever someone does something really stupid ronin comes in and gives us the parent talk. basically says wizard wants to close gd but him and sep fight for it to stay open. if it closed down id just head back to tekken zaibatsuā¦they got a gd but clearly not as fun as this.
