I do however, understand how much of a strain GD must be on the SRK forums. I see this site becoming like a mini IGN though
But see, stuff like “rep” and the old nature of $RK’s community makes the noobs who had their cherry popped by SF4, BB, etc mad salty and feel unwelcome. Nevermind them saying stupid things, acting like they know everything, they play SF4 and hence matter to $RK. So that means stuff like that has to go. That means features need to be removed, because stuff that could possibly scare away potential loot = bad. In essence, a nicer, less individualized $RK.
I mean for fucks sake, we have newer users who can’t even tell the difference (or perhaps choose not to) between flaming and trolling. You make them look stupid? Trollin’. You call em out? Trollin’. They feel offended? Trollin’. Its very in line with today’s sense of every idiot feeling entitled to something. Reminds me of that girl’s basketball link that Shinobi posted. I was playing ST:AE at 4am with a ps1 pad, its on the hardest level so any slight mistake can cost me the entire bar. I almost perfect gief, literally needed a lp/lk to win the final round but the button didnt respond and gief took my entire life with that stupid untechable kneck bite. Dont even get me started on DJ, throwing out fireballs like hadookens.

I’ve never seen as much flaming of new posters in other parts of SRK like I used to in GD. Really most of the stuff people would get butt hurt about I’ve seen to be more of an issue here than other parts of SRK. So as long as they stick to the parts of SRK they desire to post in, things should be alright, right? If you get butt hurt you need to rethink your approach. Makes more sense than crying about it IMO.
