I’m all for saying Rugby is manly and fun to watch, but they wear helmets for a reason.

Giant black people who are way too big and way too fast colliding hundreds of times a game without any helmets would basically be mutant league football.

Can you imagine what would happen if like DeMarcus Ware or Patrick Willis just ran right into Rob Gronkowski or Megatron with no pads over and over? I’m sure if we took the best offensive linemen and had them in a scrum they would never lose by whatever many points you get for winning a scrum.

Nobody is having slap fights in any of the games I’ve watched. I saw a couple of punches and one straight/hook combination during a maul. All the helmet/pad shit does for football players is have them do dumber shit and go at people with more start up so they can injure them. Even with the helmet football players are coming out all daffy after the game. Lol at the gay thing though.

Eh…the only thing that rugby doesn’t have is the giant fatass linemen since the people who are part of the scrum (1-8) still have to go on with their day running, passing and tackling. Similarly not many of them wear helmets. The only equipment you see across the board are mouthguards; some people choose to have scrum caps (the tiny helmets) and/or padding on their ears to prevent cauliflower ear.

Eh…taraumara indians are far more impressive than most athletes I’ve ever heard of. Worst thing this can turn to is the Rugby/Football “he said, she said” since I enjoy both sports fine and can appreciate the differences. It just so happens that Rugby is new to me and thus I am thoroughly enjoying watching it. If you want to catch up what I’ve been watching search for Super Rugby when you come across a bay full of pirates.
