Man, my girlfriend picked up one of my Go books yesterday and decided to try and play. Go has to be the MvC2 of board games. You get to go in with whatever you want then shit goes bonkers. The more you learn the more insane the game gets. Its got set ups, hella turtling, crazy rushdown, fundamentals will win, and the only comeback mechanic is being godlike.
We are playing it at an insanely low level because we are both learning. Playing the game with a 9x9 board. But man if the game isn’t hyped for how little we know. In the same respect, Othello is the MvC3 of board games: you can play solid in the game but sometimes crazy shit happens because of some little thing.

What is Go? Also, this one time, a friend and I were at Dennys playing Othello because we don’t have a coffee shop here or anything cool. Right in the middle of our game, this black dude slaps this white girl in the face. Next thing I know these two white guys start throwing glasses, tables, chairs, and the black guys are kicking their asses. Othello became all too real.

This is what is hurting them now. Fans can’t afford to buy every little upgrade. They’re going to start waiting for those end copies. If capcom wants to impress me, don’t add flashy animated moves or shitty comeback mechancics. I don’t mind those, and if you want to add them, fine. I would much rather them build a proper system for updating and patching characters, framerates, etc. And I dont like buying a game, knowing they’re already going to be making a better one the moment I’m playing mine. I understand that DLC is a weird thing for a console. Its hard to let people buy an individual character, and allow others to not buy them, and still play online without any load times from hell. But you can’t expect me to spend full price for a game, and the moment I own it I already know i am going to have to spend 20 bucks to unlock it further, and not be upset. Sure, you can argue you’re only paying 20 bucks for more enjoyment. No, I’m paying 20 bucks for the full version of the game I should have got originally. Find a better system than releasing an update every few months. Or let me buy a complete edition of your fucking game when it comes out, so all patches/upgrades/dlc they come out with, I automatically get.
