Microsoft asks for $40,000 PER PATCH. This is a huge issue, but I wish Capcom could figure a way around it (doesn’t MK do patches and shit some other more efficient way?). Until then, they will always wait until shit gets UGLY before finally patching. Case in point, look at all the infinites and timeouts in SFxT right now. It’s virtually unplayable half the time. But if they patch that shit out, and we find something else out in the next weeks, they will have to pay another $40,000 to get that shit fixed again.

Well when SFxT sold 350k copies, (around 21 million dollars), 40k is pocket change. They could patch it over 500 times. Also, it isn’t like Capcom is some indie dev with no money. That is no excuse. Especially when Bamco just dropped an entire SSFIV’s worth of patches and balance tweaks. For free.

Oh i totally agree, but Capcom are greedy fucks, who are willing to charge you money to unlock fucking combos. And they will have to pay $40,000 for Tournament Mode patch, and patches once the other characters unlock, and again when those unlocked characters prove to be inevitably broken, and all those other little times. Not including patches for video issues and such.
I wonder how many copies of SFxT would have sold if they just released the fucking DLC now, and for free.
