I saw a new country song on TV recently. It was essentially a bland 70s rock throwback tune, sung by some jackass in a cowboy hat and cutoff denim vest, with the word “country” repeated in the chorus about 48 times. I guess they have to keep reminding people that it’s supposed to be country music.
Funny thing is, I bet a lot of the people in that audience would get super-pissed if you pointed out that this hot new jam sounds exactly like a genre that hardcore country fans tend to hate.
i have been trying to do a 4 hit Shen combo in KOFXIII for about an hour now and I can’t do it. I can’t get all 4 parts to combo. I can if i break the combo down into 2 hit combos for each part but when i try to put it all together no dice…It’s not even a hard combo. Jump+D>std+D>fwd+B>qcf+A.
I suck.
Well, I played A3 on GGPO a bit but I never got any better. I just got the snot kicked out of me most of the time. Shit I could never do my super on the left side for christ sake. I use Charlie and from what I gathered he sucks but I just didnt care. This dude Kyokujin (something like that) would just beast the shit out of me. I would maybe get a hit or two on him and thats it. I think my biggest problem was that I could not cancel into my super no matter how hard I tried and thats all I would try to do. I did like the fact that the people that play A3 on GGPO are so much nicer than the people that play 3S.
p.s. I suck at fighting games in general though so its whatever.

My nephew just talked my ear off about some MMO I never heard of called Free Realms. Already playing these things and he’s not even nine yet. My sister was saying that he’s just like me. For some reason I didn’t even think she was aware of what I was doing on the computer way back when. Then I remembered that, when I was younger, the computer was in the living room at one point in time. Sometimes I’d be playing Asheron’s Call in my boxers since it was summer and hot as fuck, but then my sister would bring a friend over. I’d be stuck sitting there keeping my legs hidden beneath the desk for long periods of time because of this.
Man, I really hope this MMO I’m looking forward to actually turns out to be good.
Man me to. I wish desperately to be good at them but i just suck balls. I spend a lot of time practicing but never get much better. I mean shit I still haven’t pulled off that combo i mentioned earlier.

Charlie’s really good but he takes some serious learning. He’s not as simple as SF4 Guile, for example. And Kyokuji super good, most everyone loses to him, so you shouldn’t sweat it.
Yeah, it’s weird how different games have different levels of etiquette. MvC players talk shit pretty often, but 3S players seemed/seem more more smug, somehow. A3/A2 rooms are pretty sensible by comparison, and last I checked so was X-Men vs SF. And the players on the PC version of SSF4:AE are either fairly polite, or worthless Internet trash.
