im working on book 2 at the moment. was there a similar revolt in battle royale book? ive only seen the movie. which never implied anything goin on in the background.

The revolt begins before the book, in the mind of Shogo, who had survived the contest previously. In the book, the first sign of the revolt is when Yoshi defies Kinpatsu, and dies for it. This sets the entire stage for Shuya becoming who he becomes - not only a survivor, but the beginnings of a revolt in earnest. In the end, he and Nori are in Japan proper again, aided by an underground resistance movement, running from from the police, with the explicit implication that they not only make it, but foment the changes needed to put an end to the evil of their governmant

Power just went out at my work, normally good, but because I work at a payroll office, specifically in the distribution center, that means that while everyone else may get to go home early, I’m here folding checks by hand and putting them into envelopes for the around 50-75 client payroll that I didnt get to before power went out.
And each one has from 10-50+ checks in each. Lol. Oh well, it’s peaceful at least.

…as I was saying, how did they even avoid situations where the whole thing collapses on itself? What was really the inspiration to this anyway? What could be so terrible and dangerous outside that you have this “city” built underground? If a device were ever invented to at least allow us to just see into the past and know EXACTLY what was going on thousands of years ago, I have a good feeling that there would be quite a few awesome surprises. It would be so incredibly badass if the “ancient alien theories” turn out to be proven as 100% accurate.

Na, man. Having kids just gives you a bigger reason to act like one. I love singing Cat in The Hat songs with my kids. They love it too. They’re not much on Barney, but I can’t let a damn Star Wars anything come on or my son will have a trooper-gasm. My daughter’s a bit too young to care, but she’s already developing an annoying affinity for all things makeup related. Grrrrr… :tup:
