Did they change the desktop version too? Because right now I’m using YouTube mobile and it does look pretty shitty.
I attempted to make an RIP Gamepro thread, but I accidentally tapa’d Gamestop, and said fuck it. Gamepro wasn’t really at the top of the game, but I loved it as a kid.
I used to post with Boba Fatt at Critic’s Choice on AOL. He was a moderator. I remember this one email he sent me telling me to stop posting about stuff like hermothradite [sic] monkies and being a little asshole. He went by Dark Hugh back then.
My very first post on a bb was there: “Well, you suck and nobody cares what you think.”-12 y/o Vynce
Even the bad songs get stuck in your head. Like the Dora the Explorer map song.
I’m the map, I’m the map, I’m the map, I’m the map, I’m the map, I’M THE MAP!
MMM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM! Delicioso!
I’m not sure how Barney is still around though. I haven’t seen that dude in ages.
Im the map song is my shit.
Also, im not sure what mobile youtube looks like. But the new layout looks like a poor mimic of facebook or some shit.
So I think I should be sufficiently freaked out by my first graders now. And this aside from their apparent inability to get sick or miss class, something that if pennies existed in China, I’d be finding a well to throw one in to wish for. I’ve had absences from all my other classes, which are good. But these little bastards are apparently immune to the common cold, pneumonia, stomach flu, and superaids. I even came in with sinusitis and bronchitis, and breathed all over them, nope, nothing. They still march into class every day to give me an ulcer.
So anyway, one of my students are spirited. Well, several of them are, but he’s different. The others are spirited in a way where they’d end up on an episode of China’s Most Wanted if it existed with John Walsh Chong (or whatever you’d call the guy here) talking about them with the dramatizations and everything, but he’s actually a pretty sweet kid, trying to make me laugh.
And then it happened.
It started innocently where I didn’t think anything of it. I’d have them line up at the end of class to take them back to their homeroom. He suddenly licks the doorknob. I thought nothing of it, save “yes, please, contract whatever germs are on there, give them to your classmates.”
He did this for a couple days. I would over-exaggerate by going “Ohhhhhh gross!” And he’d laugh. Apparently I didn’t read the handbook on how to handle 7-year-olds, because this was apparently the wrong way to react, because it just encouraged him.
The next time I had them line up, he turned toward the doorknob, and I thought it would be the same crap. And that’s when he, 7 years old, began performing fellatio on the doorknob. And to top it off it was one of these doorknobs:

I turned around, hoping I didn’t see what I thought I was seeing, and that I’d turn back around to find some normalcy. Apparently, he then saw this, took his mouth off the shaft, and goes “MP-TEACHER!” and gets me to turn around, and his mouth slid around the doorknob again. I probably could’ve sent pictures to Gary Glitter and he would’ve had an instant orgasm.
WTF does anyone do in this situation?
I—I had nothing. I just sat back down at my desk, and buried my head, praying it would go away until the bell rang.
He’s never done it since, but yeah, nickname for this kid is now BJ.
looks like a web design i did when i was 13. hahaha.
I never missed a day of school until 10th grade when I got my car… Even when I was sick mommy was like “get the fuck to school.”
A 7 year old went down on a door knob? Damn, just damn.
I’m in London, we get everything after the rest of the world :bluu:
I can’t help but feel sorry for that chump in the new iPod commercial…dude is on a tv commercial wearing what appears to be a girl’s pants. He looks like there is not even one ounce of testosterone in him. If he’s not legitimately gay, I wouldn’t be surprised if people constantly mistake him for it. Hahah, little “girly-man” wuss.
One should find the ideal middleground… absurdly oversized, sagged pants look straight up retarded (and very “prison-bitchish”), imo… but the other extreme makes you look off the charts gay…like Glee-fan who also watches the Tony Awards on a regular basis and dancing to Lady Gaga songs during commercial break-level gayness…and is it even comfortable? There’s no way that shit is comfortable unless your junk is microscopic in the first place. At least for black men, I assumed that Obama getting elected might’ve changed things a bit, and large numbers of us would finally start pulling up our pants for a change, or wearing clothes that fit reasonably well… well, that assumption was wrong, obviously.
Beth Littleford is on a new Cascade commercial…she is still quite hittable.
The girl that plays “Diana” in Secret Circle is another contender for M5™ status…this broad is easily one of the hottest new girls on prime-time tv lately. There is no flaw.
nah its not you its the servers…seems west and east see changes at diff times as well. i didnt see a change til today and i was on youtube yesterday and it was the old format. facebook does the same thing too.
lol I remember this. Freudian slips are a beautiful thing.
Got damn Person, weird shit. My friend Shawn just moved to Shanghai to teach english.
…Shawn? =X
Like, Shawn Shawn? Tizight?
(+1 to being surprised about Youtube’s as always unnecessary changes and it looking so ugly. I couldn’t read page 11 because of someone…
glares at SWBeta)
Ugh. My neck and my health this past couple of weeks have been really fucked up. I really need to try to do something tomorrow. I should at least have time now that NaNoWriMo is over, even if I still have to finish writing that book.
Anyway, people are surprised that Gamepro died? Hell, I’ve thought it was dead for the past 5+ years. They declined rather heavily all the way back in like 2002, so…yeah.
I burst out laughing at the very first paragraph as well as white shadow’s reaction. I also find it amusing that everyone except Taito refers to Akira by the movie instead of the manga.
And then I could only shake my head as soon as I saw both Ken Watanabe and Helena Bonham-Carter might be involved with this disaster; I kinda feel sorry for that Garrett guy that this might be his second “big” movie since you know they’re going to try to put this idiotic thing as hard they can due to name recognition. I don’t think anyone could care any less about Kristen Stewart, though–I’m still surprised she was any good in Adventureland.
Of course, this is assuming the casting is real. The terrible script doubtless is, though.
Because America is the strongest nation in the world and we don’t know our own strength?
…
Nah. It’s because Hollywood has no real incentive to take risks anymore and it doesn’t have to care about quality as long as it gets people in seats by appealing to nostalgia and otherwise abusing name recognition, which, since most people are morons, still tends to work decently enough for Hollywood have been doing it more and more egregiously this past decade.
Have to love another part of the Internet’s involvement in society’s destruction.
Also, what RSG3 said about America being cancerous. Apparently were a Tasmanian Devil with contagious cancer. Hurray!
Why I (unfortunately) agree here, I’m rather surprised to see you say you’re not bothered by it at all. Are we talking about books here too when it comes to “killing the print industry”? Because, maybe it’s just having worked at a book store and wanting to write myself, the Internet “killing” print books seems like kinda of big deal.
I mean, we’re all already so dependent on computers (and other “high-tech” stuff) already as it is.
Next step is that the majority either has a/an A)ebook reader, B) iPhone or Android phone C)iPad or Android tablet, all of which are capable of reading ebooks on.
I say books still have more life in them than magazines, whose sole purpose to inform you of weekly/monthly/quarterly happenings when the vast amount of people needing/wanting those media can also access that same information in the internet immediately. By the time the print media spreads it, the majority is at that point of “Old news.” 8 years ago that wasn’t so much the case, but now? Definitely.
Newspapers could also face that same fate soon coming, but not as fast IMO. They’re still daily publications, so it isn’t exactly old news, and there are still people who want that kind of information in print. And enough of the old generation is still around to keep them afloat.
Books have a longer way to be shown the door. Not everyone’s going to run out and buy a nook or a kindle and publishers are smart enough to know not to stop printing books immediately. Books are still worth their weight, because they aren’t giving the same mundane facts we’ve already explored on the internet most of the time, especially fiction. It’s not like you can read a fanfic and say Tom Clancy is old news.
Yeah, Tizight. You didn’t know he moved to Shanghai? Get with the times, muff hugga.
Just for you, Damned. Check it after your nanoworimajimakawasakiranbatonimrocatania thing. Other post has been purged. Yay to SRK for auto-embedding youtube links…

80s anime is the best.

[details=Spoiler]The full version of this song has some riffs that remind me of Van Halen.
What a downer, but so good.
The US version of this intro is legit, too. Straight '80s cheese.
When SoL anime was cool.

Okay, this isn’t '80s. This is 1991, but it’s close enough. So BOSS.
Best anime to come out of the '80s. Fuck what you heard or think.[/details]
Also, Noir’s soundtrack > .hack//SIGN’s. Same composer, but she cranked the epic (NOT sorry this time, Damned) and intensity to 11.

Probably the composer’s best anime song. Hands down. Fappity.

The composer (Yuki Kajiura) is essentially the O. Sagat of anime music. Her music is broke tier. She’s done a lot of music for games, too. Real talk, I would not have been able to play through all of Xenosaga 2 and 3 if it wasn’t for her music. Her best work, imo, were in those two games.

Finish the second half of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas today. Book is hella overrated. Now I need to know whether to go fiction or non-fiction for the next week. Any thoughts?
