You joke, but in a roundabout way, this is the genesis of what people have started labeling “hipster racism”. As you referenced in your last post, I think there’s an idea that people have given themselves and others permission to say seemingly racist things, with the rationale being that because they’re not REALLY racist, it is then OK to say the same things a racist might. Because it’s ironic, or something. I don’t know that N-bombs are dropped more often in the northern or sothern states on average, but I am 100% sure that the people who drop them in the north do so more smugly.
