I honestly don’t mind embeds and pictures in other sections of the forum, so long as someone doesn’t go overboard and post way too many in one page of a thread just to troll people. I can understand the bandwidth consumption of hosting sites, but for the consumers? I highly doubt there’s enough people on dialup to justify it not being here still, and be honest, how many of us actually hit their bandwidth throttles that 60-100k on an image file is going to break your bank or kill your ISP contract?

It just looks spammy to me. Links make the thread look better, and nobody is going to enforce a rule that you can only have relevant videos in the thread- someone will stroll into the SF4 Ken thread and post Sailor Moon episodes or whatever.
And our spoiler tags seem to be gone, so while other forums automatically hide videos unless you click on “show video” button, we don’t have that option at the present time.

Likewise, I don’t know if there’s a way to keep the videos half-size so they take up less space on the page while still being visible.
