Hey, I just made a music myspace for my metal music endavours. Its just drum loops, fun riffs, and sweet shredding. Check it out:

I have a Epiphone Korina Explorer With dual EMG 81’s& a WarWick Fortress 5 string.
For amps I’m running a Rocktron Pro-Gap Ultra into the power section of A crate V50.
I also have a Rocktron Piranha I use on occasion.
My bass amp is an old Peavey Mark IV BASS head coupled with an Eden 1x10 & 1x15 cabs.
That Peavey still kicks all kinds of as.
And I’m still at least a little weirded out by you having a girl I know’s crotch in your av.
It depends on where the tabs are from. If they’re from a magazine, those are usually good, but the ones you find on the internet are usually all kinds of wrong and shouldn’t be trusted most of the time.
You might be leaving your finger on the string too long. As soon as you pick the string, get your finger off the fret. The harmonics at the 9th fret are pretty loud on my guitar (course, it’s a Telecaster), but you have to be careful not to dampen the harmonics with your fretting hand. Also, in reply to someone else, the harmonics at the 4th fret are an octave above the ones found at the 9th fret IIRC.

^beautiful, beautiful performance man, and awesome guitar as well!
Actually, no. 9th fret harmonic = 4th fret harmonic.
Thank you very much on both counts! Love your name btw!
Is it? I rarely use them, so I couldn’t remember off the top of my head.
Hey guys, I posted a new song onto my myspace page. The song is fighting game related! Its a cover of Guile’s stage music from Street Fighter Turbo… check it out! I got the tone of my guitar to be all smooth and milky.
Does anyone have experience with the Line 6 POD?
I’m working on a recording setup in my apartment and can’t really have an amp. I’ve always been partial to rack setups so I’ve been looking some stuff up and came across the POD.
FYI, I’m looking at something like this: http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-LIN-PODXTPRO-LIST
So any thoughts/experiences would be cool. Overpriced? Better options? Just curious.
Yo, how is my friend on Guitar?
I say this because he’s supposed to give me one of his guitars, and teach me how to play, but I’d pay the money if it meant that I didn’t pick up any self-learned bad habits. He’s a self-taught player. Nothing wrong with that, I just want to be da best mayne.
Other than everything sounding the same I’d say he’s ok.
Typical guitarist, just try and make your own style, speak with it the way only you could.
To many gutter tier guitarists all sounding the same out there.
Does anyone have a tab for Zangief’s SSFT2HDR theme? I want to learn the guitar part for it.
So basically only learn really like Guitar theory from people, and then after that take that information and invent my own style
He seems to really like that strumming pattern.
a huge problem with guitarists is they learn all the note theory in the world but never have any interesting rhythms. It’s like that isn’t even part of the music world to some of these guys.
Interesting rhymths could be a 4/4 song with straight palm muting of E all the way through, or it could some crazy 7/8 mixed with 5/4 elusive hammer on and pull off fest. Depends on whos listening.
Its not fair to say thats the problem with guitarists today. I think the problem is that they’re not creative in general, be it rhythm or soloing parts. Too much Guitar Hero Syndrome lol. But thats not fair either. Its hard to be creative now-a-days… everything has already been done. You can’t reinvent the wheel.
You must listen to some pretty boring ass shit sir.
Subjective and therefore irrelevant.
Cmon man, bring something intelligent to the discussion instead of some 5th grade insults.
It isn’t hard to be creative, it’s hard to be innovative and still have people want to listen. There’s definitely room for personal interpretation, but if you think about it, rap-metal was that last really innovative movement in music.
