Mega Kangaskhan is nuts because of the double hits, but niggas seem to think that you can have Mega Kangaskhan with 6 moves and an extra item. He’ll sweep you if you don’t have a counter (of which there are many) but that can be said about basically any powerful offensive Poke.
i said this before, blaziken got banned on smogon’s battle things because it was felt by many that the only way to stop it besides out predicting it, was to carry either azumarill, talonflame, or both
megakangaskhan is really good, but it might fall into the gen IV salamence, lati@s debate, while not inherently broken, it takes some serious prediction and a surefire check to beat it, it’s not the worst thing out there (fuck you megalucario, seriously, megagengar is still pretty dumb, and don’t get me started in pokebank), it’s going to stay for a while but if it does get banned, it will be for the same reason salamence and latias were in gen IV

mega kangaskhan has a huge problem with coverage, a real problem in not having recovery, and is all physical damage. ghosts in particular take advantage of its poor coverage. kang can pack sucker punch, crunch, shadow claw, and earthquake, but defensive pokemon like trevenant can just burn it, gengar isn’t afraid of EQ and can sub/disable, aegislash can set up on sucker punch only variants and king’s shield vs crunch/shadow claw to really drop kang’s offense.
he is strong and once he gets going you have to have an answer to sucker punch (will o wisp seems like the easy way) but lack of recovery means that it will eventually go down if you can survive sucker punches or even avoid getting sucker punched at all.
blaziken, gengar, lucario, and blastoise are all better megas ~
I like fake out /pup/sucker punch/fire punch. Anything crunch KOs fire punch seems to as well
megablastoise is definitely not better than megakangaskhan, at least not right now, he doesn’t deal as much damage and blissey still walls him to hell and back, megakanga doesn’t have this problem (well he does, it just depends on his moveset)
blaziken himself is broken, megalucario and megagengar are broken (and i feel should go before megakanga has any chance to)
megaabsol might be better, not too sure on that
like i said, he’s definitely beatable, but outside of having wisp on your team, he usually require you to sacrifice a pokemon just to take it down, which is bad

Luke and Gengar are fine china fragile. They die from a stiff breeze blowing in their direction, and lack in HP. Sure, they are ridiculously powerful offensively, but no, just no to them being broke…
Smogon can’t play Pokemon anymore. Without their rules and clauses, the Smogonites ain’t shit, and even then… Please, PLEASE people stop listening to anything from Smogon that doesn’t involve research and game mechanics- That’s the only thing they are actually good at.

I just have one thing to say to a Mega Lucario/Mega Gengar attempting a sweep.

Insert ridiculous bullshit argument about how Lucario has 6 moves and is at +2 Spd/Att/Sp. Att, has been Baton Passed and Ingrain, Aqua Ring, Light Screen & Reflect are up, and you’re at -2 everything and Extreme Speed critical hits all the time, not to mention that 3 layers of Spikes/2 layers of Toxic Spikes/Stealth Rock is out
Smogon is trash… No wonder they all bitch when they go on Random Matchup and some Japanese kid beats them with Dual Screen Klefki/Sub+Minimize Chandelure/Stockpile+Fissure Gastrodon…
klefki is not that bad. i feel like it is a waste of slot sometimes but other times it is nice to have a priority twave. still, i don’t think it’s enough because it can’t really deal with excadrill or garchomp without getting lucky with swagger or something.
dual screens set is not bad either but again can just get set up on by a ground type unless it’s packing foul play which is not a bad option
Klefki works for the purposes I want. It’s basically there to counter speedy mons and/or set up spike traps as a lead (depending on the opponent’s team), and just to overall be an annoyance and attempt to cripple the opposing team. I don’t have it there to last long, just long enough to set-up some things. If the opponent has Garchomp or Excadrill then it’s a problem, but I have other mons in the team to help deal with those threats. And at the very least it can be used to get some spikes out there (granted Excadrill can deal with them but then it’s wasting a turn dealing with the spikes which I can use to get a counter in).
And yeah, I have foul play as its offensive move to work alongside Swagger.
megagengar guarantees at least one of the opponents pokemon to be KO’d, guaranteed, and protect + perish song is really fucking stupid
megalucario is really fucking stupid, he’s got offensive stats similar to deoxys for crying out loud, he can sweep without boosts and having base 115 speed on top of 150+ offenses is retarded, oh and he only needs 2 moves for coverage (oh and the type that walls his 2 move coverage gets raped by his 3rd attack), he can a nasty plot set as effectively as he can run a swords dance set, his bullet punch is stronger than scizor’s and his other two moves have better coverage and he’s way faster, he just needs 1 set-up to sweep and unless you carry something that can tank hits all day or have azumarill or talonflame, you lose to him, his steel typing really helps him out here

edit: also haven’t been terribly impress with mega lucario, much like all the other megas he’s definitely really powerful, but mega lucario still dies in one hit to a lot of things(mainly earthquake and strong fighting moves), and while his 150 power is impressive, plenty of stuff lives through his hits since he can’t lorb or band. Mega gengar I agree with though, mega gengar is completely nuts.
edit again: also swagger klefkii is still one of the most consistently impactful pokemon I’ve seen. The only times I’ve ever seen it suck are when it tried to revenge kill strong earthquakers for some stupid reason. If you put it in against something that can’t appreciably hurt it you’re essentially guaranteed to cripple/kill a few pokemon. Part of the reason I’m prolly going to run espeon on basically every team I make from now on(and also because screens and magic bounce are just fun to mess around with in general).
