No, he might accidently win a match with it.
I wish he was more bulky so I could give him rain dance. He’s also kind of slow. All the extra attack is great and all, but without items you can’t really take advantage of it.
I might just keep rocking plain Heracross because it’s still the best.
Here comes V-Slash and his Slurpuff…
I actually just figured out my Pokemon team. One pokemon down, 6 to go.
I am just copying Neesa’s pink team and putting a Heracross in there.
So right after the defog thread on smogon got hyped, I noticed that the Galvantula thread went missing/deleted
Smogon’s over reactions are hilarious.

I’m surprised threads and lives aren’t ended there due to random math errors.
AAARGH… All my ideas require so much breeding. I don’t think I’ll have a solid team ready until a month from now.
If I’m going to battle it ain’t gonna be half arsed.
I am now intrigued, Shirokage… I’m gonna look at that Defog user base and see if I can see what you see…
Sadly my plans won’t bear fruit. I was looking for a Defog user who had the Oblivious trait. Oblivious now ignores moves like Taunt and Torment, which would’ve been oh so sexy.
But alas…

Don’t be hatin’ on #TeamPinku.
Anybody need PokeRus?
Already replied in the X and Y forum.
I’d like an infected pokemon please. And thanks in advance!
Question…are there any Pokemon out there that can learn both Baton Pass and Defog?
Gliscor comes to mind…
With the revelation of oblivious ignoring taunt and torment would I want it over thick fat on stealth rock lead mamiswine?
why would you want defog and baton pass? especially on gliscor who on a BP set wants taunt, BP, and swords dance/agility, i’d rather run defog on another pokemon
i thought empoleon learns defog and with him resisting SR and toxic spikes, nor giving a fuck about sticky web, he could be a viable user of defog, probably the best one
Stall’s gonna have to call up its old buddy Magnezone to do work on all those Steel and/or Flying typed Defog users.
Scizor, Empoleon, and Skarmory seem to be the most viable users of the move, along with Gliscor, but you’ll have to shoot an Ice Beam its way.
Haha… I love all this chaos and confusion. Nothing is safe. Everybody gets shot.

IMO, being resistant/ neutral to those attacks is more useful as Taunt isn’t as plentiful in comparison. I’d rather have the luxury of switching in safely.

For a specific team set-up I’m thinking of, I want to baton pass speed boosts to Charizard without getting half my health taken away by Stealth Rock. That’s why I was asking about Pokes that can learn both Defog and Baton Pass, since if necessary I could have my first poke baton pass to the defog user who would get rid of entry hazards and then finally baton pass to Charizard (who would be Mega Charizard X), and run train on everything. Or an alternate sweeper depending on the Pokemon the opponent has out at the time.
Just trying to think of ways to take advantage of the new Defog buff so Charizard doesn’t get crapped on by Stealth Rock and still be able to do set-ups into it.
Independent thought
Good for you. I’m glad to see there are still free thinkers trying to create their own strategies and tactics rather than waiting for someone else to do it for them.
LOL @ the complete disappearance of the Galvantula thread… It’s like they completely forgot that its part Electric type and can zap 98% of all Defog users with a Compound Eyes Thunder, or Volt Switch to another counter. Gliscor is a concern, but it can be dealt with in other ways…
Just because your hazards get stopped once doesn’t mean you give up… Just have to pick your spots better. Stealth Rock has ruined an entire generation of players who have become too accustomed to just clicking Rocks and going about their day.
i just feel that relegating a poke to both baton passing and “spinning” (because that’s effectively what he’s doing) is asking too much of the poke, this is like the 4-move slot syndrome
i feel a better gliscor set for what your trying to do would be
Swords Dance / Ice Fang
Earthquake
Defog / Baton Pass
Taunt/Coverage move
it plays more to what gliscor does best, stopping people from setting up on you while setting your team up on them
How is Espeon for a dual screener? I see the smogon suggestion but if there is an increase of tyranitar espeon would get wrecked.
it’ll probably still be good, just not as good, magic bounce is a ridiculously good ability
