Maybe… Symptoms include Scarf Outrage, Specs Draco, and other herp derp movesets. If you’re experiencing any of these, please contact your local Po Pimpus for a lesson on originality.
Well, I’m currently experimenting with a Toxic-stall variant that also doubles as a team supporter (either with wish or healing wish…can’t decide, depends on what team I stick it on I guess). Is that original enough? :3
(Ugh. I need to stop omitting stuff even after I proofread, which I clearly need to doing at least twice.)
Yeah, Draco Meteor can still work on a Life Orb set with the Double Dragon twins, but you really don’t want to Choice’d into in most instances, especially since with Life Orb can you can just Roost off the damage.
I am aware. Given the amount of people that complained about Smeargle’s Spore–when it was using it over Dark Void at least–even though it loses for free to Espeon (and Xatu…and Mega Absol), however, I at least thought I’d see more of them given their anti-powder buff. At the very least, I thought I’d see more Whimsicott now that it’s Fairy since it’s still the fastest Prankster and can actually not be walled by the many thing that resist Grass now if it wants to attack and abuse Leech Seed; this even with its quadruple Poison weakness.
If anything, I’ve seen a decent amount of Grass types around given the ones I pointed about; I suppose I’m just most surprised to not see any familiar Grass faces from Gen IV in OU outside of Breloom. Especially when Roserade is still definitely usable even with the aforementioned five Pokemon running around.
I am also aware of this. Grass has always been a middling type at best. You just think people would be trying to use it more if Rotom-W is so prominent.
Talonflame is a douche and Grass got even more indirectly nerfed because of Fairies. Due to Fairies having people load up on Poison moves that makes Grass types without the Poison Dual Type even more fragile.
Roserade and [non mega] Venusaur were legit in pre-bank because they checked Ferrothorn with HP fire, checked fairies with sludge wave, absorbing leech seed and spore, obviously had super effective moves vs rotom W, and could take fighting moves.
The most annoying thing about Rotom-W is that it learns Trick. Other than that, it hasn’t really given me that many issues. Maybe because Excadrill kills it for free.
(Yes, Bious said that it starts next Friday IIRC for the in-game tournament.)
Meanwhile, for phantasy’s simulator tournament, whenever BullDancer & The Co-Jones finish fighting–no rush–their match, I think I actually have a team finally ready. I just filled it with four pokemon that I’ve been wanting to use and two trusty pokemon that I’ve already been using, neither of which is Skarmory or Tentacruel surprisingly.
I’m still tempted to try to make that Sunny Day team work though, Stealth Rocks and Mega Houndoom’s unfortunate predicament be damned.
