SRK Competitive Pokemon Battling Thread: Logoghoul and White Shadow Win! Bye Gen 6!

WHAT???\

What happens now?

Since I didn’t know that I got kicked. We should allow the co-jones to continue on and battle phantom angel.

(Ugh. I edited that last post to be coherent now that I’m slightly more awake.)

Never thought I’d use the insipid “at” function, much less so much, but I don’t feel like quoting people right now. For the record, said function doesn’t work on people with spaces in their aliases, such as myself.

@BullDancer - Yes, I thought the same thing. “Oh, so this is Extremekiller Arceus. The other guy is doomed.” And then stupidity made itself apparent. -_-

@Infernoman - Wow people give up too easily. I find it weird that you made fun of him/her for using Flareon given how much damage it was doing instead of making fun of him for using Life Orb on Espeon or Yawn of all things (when also using it on Jolteon). If you’re using an already gimmicky Eeveelution team, then I personally think Flareon is more than fine given it’s the only Eeveelution that can hit hard on the physical side besides Leafeon, not counting Umbreon’s Payback or Foul Play. Hell, it still did like a third of Gastrodon’s health with a resisted Flare Blitz before it was poisoned and we all know bulky that thing is. As such, I’d personally rather use it and Leafeon over Umbreon, especially since Leafeon, for all its faults, has a bunch of Defense, resists Ground on a team where nothing avoids Ground, doesn’t fold to Fighting and actually attack decently as long as the target doesn’t resist Grass. (It’s very last quality is taken care of by Vaporeon (Fire & Dragon since we’re not using Glaceon) and Flareon (Grass & Bug & Steel) and Jolteon (Flying) and Espeon (Poison).)

Also, I’m beginning to think you either really like Fairly Odd Parents (or whatever) or the Scarlet Witch.

@xlxlxlxl - That link doesn’t work, unfortunately. Did you save the actual replay? I ask because I couldn’t find anything.

@Skye1 - …Who are white people? (I’m being mostly facetious obviously, though it is interesting think about how perceptions of the falsity that is race evolved considering people like the Irish and the Italian didn’t used to be considered “white” until relatively recently.)

More seriously, Volt Absorb on Jolteon seems better than Quick Feet in all situations unless you run into Spider Web a lot and yet for some reason don’t have any means of getting rid of it and planning on trying to throw Jolteon into status sacrificially. Even with its innate resistance to Electric, Volt Absorb helps its flimsy ass not die from harder hitting Electrics and keeps other things with Volt Switch from being able to switch out.

That said, in a somewhat similar situation, I think Guts is probably better than Flash Fire on Flareon most of the time, especially an all Eeveelution team since obviously you’re going to be using Vaporeon as one of your other five pokemon at the very least.

@r00ster22 - Does Switcheroo go through Substitute with Infiltrator?

No problem. Like I said, I’m not responsible if you get your ass kicked using it though.

heh Honestly It was what I named my pkmn that would wish pass in Gen 4. most of the names are carried over from my old mons. I actually would fear more a leafeon if he had one My team hates (in its current form) bulky grass types like M Venusaur fire types don’t scare me when it comes to this team.

Jones moves on.
Get your matches done before Wednesday or else I flip the coin.

well, mega venusaur is a whore and you need a flying or psychic move or kyurem-b to get by it (the zards do a lot to it too but they’re ridiculous also), it shuts down your team entirely because…well, he’s a whore and there isn’t much you could do except add a flying/psychic move to your team, and a really strong one at that

@The Damned: I guess I forgot to save it. That was a pretty awesome battle too…

Yes switcheroo should bypass substitute with infiltrator.

So…Anyone think Dragalge is a good pokemon?
Cause I was using it on Showdown. (Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-83713004)

Air Balloon -Sassy -196 hp, 252 sp.def, 60 sp.atk
-Dragon Tail
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Venoshock

Would be stronger with Adaptability.

if dragalge didn’t move slower than molasses it would be good

without adaptability, it’s not really, usable

i also would not use venoshock, it relies to much on the opponent being poisoned, just use sludge bomb/wave for more immediate power

Somebody give me a list of pokemon you want used and I’ll make a team around them, I’m bored with the current metagame

Well I’m build a team around toxic spikes.
Figure it just 1 spikes should be enough.

And w/e cant get posioned would be switch to something else.

**Flareon

This little fella.

no, i refuse to allow @bulldancer to use dedenne, he is not allowed

i don’t care what viable set you could muster up, i refuse to let you use such a stupid pokemon

^For someone who claims to like Pokémon, you sure hate a lot of them/think they’re stupid…

only dedeenne and luvdisc, everything else is good for looks wise, fuck these two

and competitive wise, a lot of shit is dumb, can’t have balance when some pokemon feel like an auto-win

What? Luvdisc is a monster. That thing never dies.
