I really don’t see Mood coming off as a douche unless he specifically calls you names, which he only does to Po and Infernoman because they have Pokeautism attacks every time he tries to help them. Sableye isn’t a sweeper nor a real wall. A mon with good typing but poor stats like his isn’t taking many hits for long. Snarl on the switch once you taunt or WoW and use it to soften up the switch in. Continue burn taunt shenanigans and profit.
I don’t need knock off as bad since other teammates can do it. Add to the fact that many people know very well how sableye works and expect one to knock off. Megas switch into me as do mons who don’t care about losing items so why not? It works well for me!
it’s not that it’s a terrible option (i probably shouldn’t have said that), it’s his other options are just so much better, his stats aren’t really good enough to take advantage, especially when a lot of special attackers nowadays are boosting or setting up stuff, it’ll just cause a lot of reliance on prediction for my liking

A lot of players don’t like their stats lowered so they’re forced out which accumulates residual damage assuming rocks are out. If they stay in i can switch to a counter and with their power neutered they risk a teammate since they’re going to lack the power to hit back.
Again i don’t care what you say about me or my style of play. It works for me and i like it. If you REALLY want to help at all why not you just ask what the purpose of my choices are before saying shit sucks. All of my choices are based on what supports what.
If anything you at least know your stuff. The CoD thread has people too ignorant to know why I camp.

Yes, I’m aware that Snarl isn’t ever going to kill anything that isn’t already basically dying. It only has 65 BP to make up for its nifty effect. I never said that was I running it with the intention of trying to exploit the Dark type weakness either, outside of that amusing instance where I fainted a Gengar with Substitute with it.
As I said before, the teams I have on Pokemon Showdown are mostly just me screwing around with newer stuff since I haven’t been around for the past two generations, inclusive. Since Snarl and Rocky Helmet are new, they are things that I’m going to screw with for at least a while. They’ve mostly worked so far, though, yes, I can see how one or both of could be replaced by something better even if I stick with Arcanine. Thanks.

But, yeah, outside of people being paranoid about Soundproof pokemon, which reminds me that I want to mess around with Exploud, I don’t know why people keep using Florges over it, though Florges also gets Calm Mind I think. Maybe Florges is just prettier? Shrug.
I’m disappointed that Leafeon and Glaceon didn’t get better Hidden Abilities or, at least, non-weather dependent ones, though it’s not really surprised. I’m tempted to try to use Leafeon on the Sunny Day team I inevitably makes, but it seems like it still gets no type coverage (not that any of the Eeveelutions ever do). Still, it would be nice to use Leaf Blade again and Chlorophyll is better than Leaf Guard in most cases…
Oh well. At least Flareon finally got Flare Blitz somewhere along the line while I was gone. Too bad Entei trumped it by getting Sacred Fire, but meh, Flareon wasn’t utterly ignored like Farfetch’d or Kricketune and many others.
Not much to say about Vaporeon, Jolteon or Espeon since they’ve more less always been good, even if Espeon fell off a bit before it got Magic Bounce. It seems Umbreon is viable to use again somewhat due to getting Foul Play and so not being set-up or Taunt fodder even more than Vaporeon.
And yet I still long for more Eeveelutions…

espeon is only good because of magic bounce, it’s a real solid check to mega venusaur and rotom-w
vaporeon just can’t handle all the physical hits this gen has, it’s solid but sylveon really does the physical tanking better
jolteon is entirely outclassed by mega manectric as a volt turner and thunderus-I has an offensive pokemon
umbreon is just outdone by sableye as an annoying dark type
leafeon just can’t do anything in a metagame filled with flying types
flareon and glaceon will forever be terrible, terrible typings, slow as shit, and bad movepools
