it’s not annoying to fight, it’s mindbashingly dumb
it’s hyper offense, i set up everything i can with deo-d until he dies, then use rotom and sableye to stop you from removing the hazards and weaken the team to let chomp, landorus, or mega luc to finish the job
chomp doubles as a revenge killer
landorus works as a wall breaker
mega luc is mega luc
it’s stupid, it’s fun, and it’s fast as hell, if you live more than 15 turns i did something wrong, it also doesn’t let you get comfortable, you can’t try to set up against this team as by the time you do, i’ll be set up and ready for the sweep
How did you get a Deo? I’ve completed my Regional and National Dex (minus legendaries) but have been really really wanting a Deoxys and a Genesect. I just even found out today that the items to change both of their forms exist in the game (Ambrette Town Fossil Center).

Seems like if you don’t have a Pokemon to deal with Deo-D in two turns and something to take MegaLuc hits, you will be sad.
(Like white shadow, I dislike pandas, but amusingly, just before I saw @r00ster22 mention that set last night, I too was thinking of Choice Scarf Pangoro–stupid name, but it actually good from behind with that random cape–simply due to the exclusivity–fuck Smeargle–of Parting Shot. Of course, I didn’t really dwell on it nearly as long, simply thinking that it would be amusing to screw with people between Scarf’d Parting Shot and Scrappy with Circle Throw.)
Speaking of white shadow, geez, he wasn’t kidding about people rage-quitting over the dumbest shit. I thought I was defeatist in general, but I literally had someone quit on me when I was testing my “Hey, Knock It Off!” team for the first time last night after their first move. It was a Rotom-Wash’s–of course–Will’o’wisp, which missed Venusaur even though Rotom only took 50~% damage from the resultant blow. What.
I’m not sure whether it’s because I’m a masochist or because I realize it’s “only a game” or because I’m largely doing playing to waste time like a hedonist when I should be doing other stuff anyway, but I tend to be significantly less defeatist when it comes to outright giving up in games. This is best evidenced by me going 100+ turns against someone who was kind enough to send me the video after I had to forfeit even though it was getting kinda hilarious towards the end. Unlike the match GodotsRevenge posted, most of this is actual fighting and not PP stalling, my misplays and all:

I think I’m going to try screwing around with my mono-Poison team even though I still can’t decide if I want Toxicroak for Rock resistance or if I should just try screwing around with Speed Boostipede for a while.
@Mood4food77 - Now that you’ve stopped channeling Cynthia and Clair and generally being “baited” about fucking Poison Jab of all things, I’ll remind you that I’m still curious as to your opinion on the current state of Ubers. This includes what you think should be banned to Ubers since you mentioned Manaphy earlier and I just got my ass kicked by one last night, though it was more due to that stupid Goth pokemon with Shadow Tag. (Why the hell does that still have Shadow Tag if Chandelure’s Shadow Tag got replaced with Infiltrator?)
ubers is an anything goes metagame that i don’t play, i can’t really give any info about it but the fact that something is good in ubers should have no merit on if it should be banned from OU or not for example:
Shedinja is at his prime in the Ubers metagame, capable of walling big threats like mewtwo and kyogre on top of having the absolutely amazing Bug STAB which in ubers, is crazy good. In OU, he’s terrible.
Skymin is pretty bad in ubers, it doesn’t have the bulk to compete in ubers and relies on hax in order to succeed. But in OU, he’s probably the most broken thing you could ever allow.
now on what i feel should be banned so that there is some semblance of a balanced metagame, well:
Genesect
Mega Lucario
Thunderus-I
Landorus-I
Manaphy
Deoxys-S
Deoxys-D
Banning these guys will create much more diversity in the tier because i basically feel like you either play against other Hyper Offense teams or a stall team with Mega Venusaur, nothing in between really. There are good bulky offense teams but these threats are so over powered that you really need half a team to check just one of them. It’s why I run hyper offense. Hyper Offense basically lets me not give a fuck about them and proceed to sweep. If there are any other pokemon i feel should be banned, it would be kyurem-b, talonflame, and aegislash but only should they even be suspected after all of those are banned (because they will be, smogon is just being lazy). All of these pokemon are essentially the reason why Rotom-W has close to 40% usage on the ladder (due to being a huge threat to all of them). Once they go, he’ll usage will drop down to normal levels (like 18-20% instead of this ridiculous 40%), but for now, he’s the biggest metagame check out there and is doing an awesome job at it
I got a 4IV Drought Vulpix with Heat Wave and Hypnosis. I can try and breed extras if you want.

Well, yes, I’m aware of that, especially since the relatively few times I played Ubers back in Gen VI, Shedinja was pretty much always on my team for the reasons you said in addition to it just being a Pokemon I like. Well, that and not having to deal with fucking Sandstream everywhere in Ubers in most cases.
So, yeah, I wasn’t trying to imply that.

So…there was this dude running around on PS challenging people to custom games…and he was was running a team of all Megas. I didn’t know this, so me, not giving a fuck, used my new UU team and said lets do this then. He sucked. Ugh, it takes forever to get a decent ranking on PS now. I suppose it’s good for people that play often, but it sucks for guys like me that only touch it a few times a month.
