This is our first match.

Damn… Soooooo much U-Turning lol

free

I got time. I’m kind of pissed that I hoarded a bunch of viable Pokemon expecting Pokebank to be release and now I can’t do shit because my breeding options are limited. My teams are feeling a little dated now.

heres a new team im trying out what do you guys think?

@BullDancer It seems cress is a lot more usable now that perma weather is gone. I gotta start packing more dark types.

My Choice Scarf Delphox had fried chicken for dinner!

Mega crispy, with a pinch of +1 Speed.

Lmfao So I’m looking for random to battle in game and see this one kid with “battle me I dare you”. So I’m like “I’ll bite”. Team preview shows him with Lucario, Dragonite, Charizard, Blastoise, Blaziken, and Mewtwo-Y. I laugh cus this kid thinks he’s the shit. I body the shit out of him and he straight up disconnects after I take out his Mewtwo-Y (his last pokemon vs my 3).

Yeah I’ve been using Mega Mawile and Absol in Battle Spot.

Mewtwo is irrelevant when their trainers don’t know about Sucker Punch. :coffee:

Another win online. SHould I stick to Blissey or go with Chansey? Hmmm better defense or leftovers recovery…

chansey is not good this gen, the buff to knockoff really limits her usability, blissey can function without leftovers, chansey cannot function without eviolite

also, blissey has an offense, chansey does not

@tolore i will be available saturday and sunday. Will you available on those days too? I’ve been busy with school.

Man I fought a battle with some random and I swear like 5 Pokemon on his team had Substitute. Annoying.

Okay I had a random idea to make a Sandstorm team just so I can nickname every Pokemon on the team “♪DUDUDUDU♪”. Where do I start?

Just to help you out, as a person who has done hundreds of Ranbats, here’s the general guide to avoiding scrubs online.

If a player:

-Uses their full name and it sounds real.

-Has all the letters of their name in caps.

-Mentions the amount of Shinies in their possession.

-Has #Diggersbytho written in his title.

-Mentions their love of Charizard, Pikachu or insert Pokemon everyone likes

-Updates their title with the latest meme.

-Will trade Shinies for Legends and vice versa.

-Types how they’re “undefeatable” or uses any kind of machismo.

The best players are far more low key, often use a gamertag, and probably will just say “battle me” or 6v6 OU or something to that effect.

Last night I had a Ranbat and at the start of the match I Taunted the guy’s Ferrothorn on the turn it he was going to Stealth Rock and then he Ragequit. Like damn man, the match didn’t even really start yet and these dudes quit because of one read. :bluu:

obviously tar or hippowdon.
if you’re running the sandstorm lengthening item i think it works with sandstream, which is cool.

tar provides rock/dark (good for trapping psychics, resisting flying/fire [talonflame], but weak to ground and fighting). it can be given a bunch of sets that do different things. offensive sets with dragon dance or choice items (band for power, scarf/specs for surprise/gimmicks), it can run a defensive support set with stealth rock and other moves.

hippowdon provides solid ground typing and bulky stats letting it wall decently and switch in on thunder waves/volt switches, but you might be running other ground types to go with sandstorm. as a side note almost everything that runs volt switch or thunderbolt for offense will have coverage for ground. it isn’t quite as flexible as tar in terms of random things it can do, but it has solid support moves. just gotta choose those that fit the team.

steel/rock/ground types don’t get hurt by sandstorm and only rock types get a spdef boost, which is nice for defensive strategies. gliscor, forretress, skarmory, ferrothorn etc. are some of the defensive pokemon that benefit from sandstorm.

sandstorm also breaks focus sash and multiscale, which is incredibly useful.

on the offensive side, there is sand rush excadrill (not quite as strong due to no more infinite sand, and sacrificing mold breaker which hits some threats), landorus, terrakion, scizor, genesect, garchomp, lucario. sand rush excadrill is the only one that really relies on having as many turns of sand possible, the others just get a spdef boost which is useful. also note that weather ball becomes rock type with good base power, but idk what gets it lol. heatran and jirachi are some more steel types that are p good.

to be clear only rock types get the sp.def boost, ground and steel just don’t take damage.

Their bark is worse than their bite. Yeah always the guy who talks the most crap sucks the biggest dick. Many good players let their skill do the talking. On the other hand I love getting hate mail and shit talk thrown at me because it shows how stupid my opponent is by going so out of their way to discredit me.

My last match tonight.

sunday I’m pretty busy but I should be able to on saturday.

lol didn’t know that. cool.

(currently has a Sandstorm team. currently still sucks at team-building)

Though the problem I have, which I realized after losing half of my matches last night, is that I don’t have enough entry hazards or offense or status besides Toxic to call myself a good stall team at present. Then again, given that this is my first team since I came back and I was still screwing around with newer Pokemon, abilities–haha, Regenerator is kinda dumb–and items, I’m largely fine with that. Even after taking Hippowdon out for Rapid Spin, Stealth Rock Donphan since Sandstream doesn’t restart a sandstorm that’s already going, which I’m still not sure how to feel about, I just realized that I get single-handedly murdered by Mega Venusaur. Damn fatass.

I’m also still trying to get used to Fairy type and the subtle, much-needed nerfs to Steel type.

I think I’m going to go back to my usual masochism and try to make a Hail team, if only because this Delphox-based idea I have isn’t coming together.
