I think my clothes fit better now, but in terms of weight I’m about the same. Maybe I’m losing fat and gaining muscle, but I don’t really see the muscle and my protein intake probably isn’t as high as it needs to be.
I have to admit I’m a bit discouraged. I know I need to push myself harder, but I just don’t have the reserves of energy to do that.
Probably going to look the same but with a farmer’s tan. Just been riding my sportbike a lot, and doing a set of pushups/sit ups once or twice a day. Still need to pick up the bicycle.
Haven’t checked in a while, but things are better. I can do more of everything! I also fit into my size 36 jeans.
I’m still mad because i’m not happy with my upper body. With time it will settle, but more work is required. by the end of July Large should fit properly, and I should be able to fit a meduim. It doesn’t have to look great, but I should be able to slip it on.
Diet is helping a lot. due to decreased intake of bread, I’m not as bloated so that makes me super happy. Hopefully I can burn 10 lbs by the 7th of july. Gonna work harder for it.
I haven’t trained in 8 months because of a chronic shoulder tendonitis and serious back pain and I didn’t gain a pound of fat. Some of you train hours everyday and you still can’t lose fat? Nutrition is 80% of the result, training is secondary.
My philosophy is high carbs, moderate protein and fat. Bread, oatmeal, fruits and fish all day.
Had only three training sessions today, morning (5-8am), mid-morning (9-11am) and afternoon (12-1pm).
Pushed my body too hard and the capillaries in my legs burst and I started bleeding. I need to stop pushing myself too far and go back to training intelligently.
Whole wheat bread is rich in fiber and iron, bread doesn’t make you fat, let’s not be silly.
Edit : To the guy above me, 1800 calories is pretty low depending on how much you weigh, you can do it for a short period of time but I doubt you’ll stick with it. Just to give you an idea, I weight 155lbs, i’m not an active person and I maintain my weight with 2500 cals a day.
Why can’t you? You won’t build muscle of course (unless you’re getting protein from protein shakes) but if you have fat on you, that will be burned for the calories needed. Until you are no longer fat and can just eat again.
The human body is dumb, if you have fat there is energy there for you to draw from. I am going to try a low calorie high exertion diet for a little while, and see if pushing through the lack of feeling there is energy will work.
yes the body is dumb, but this isn’t the first time i’ve tried this type of thing. Some IRL folks tell me it’s withdrawal from sugar. It’s not, even when I include carbs, a low calorie diet and excersice leads to fatige and migranes for me. Maybe i’m just being a bitch since I always quit on the second day (can’t deal with 24 hour headaches), but I’m really trying to figure out how I’m going to go about doing it.
Here we go with the low-carb propaganda, Japanese people eat carbs all day and they’re probably the leanest people on the planet, only 1% of the population suffer from obesity. But hey, have fun starving yourself of carbs if that’s what you want, I eat 400g of carbs a day and I don’t gain a pound.
Americans are fat because they eat shitty processed foods, not because of carbs.
