All I’d want out of a CT sequel is just a small party in which you can have double, and triple techs between any party you make and a story that implements time travel like in the first with Akira Toriyama character designs and music from the original composer.
after SO3 ruined the series retroactively (after all, what’s the point in playing another one, we’re all JUST DATA) as well as SO4 being pretty garbage too… I think the only hope for a decent SO is a straight reboot and different dev team. If they ever try to get Tri-Ace to do that shit, it’s doomed.
But I want Square to devote all their resources to making a new Chrono Trigger/Break game. Fuck a Chrono Cross. I will spam this shit on every fucking page if I have to. Hated that game
I really like Chrono Cross. It’s story is kind of meh, but the combat is great, the characters are really fun, and building teams in that game is a lot of fun cuz there are so many people you can have on your team. And the music is just fantastic.
Character selection became meaningless when tri-attacks were character specific, and also hard to unlock, compared to the awesomeness of CT having tri-attacks for every pairing of characters, sometimes even multiple. Worst of all, all the OG characters except the god types are dead, which really just kills what happened in CT.
The dimensions of CC were nothing as good as the time travelling bits of CT. The ability to kill Lavos at various time periods was one of the best parts of CT.
I wanted a proper CT game, not Radical Dreamers with some tie in’s. Should have just made a Radical Dreamers game, and saved CC for another time.
Razorfist made an interesting video on how FF XV is probably going to be the most important Japanese release this generation, and God help us, he’s right…
Whether that shit succeeds or fails will probably be the turning point for Japanese devs/publishers for years to come.
Yeah, because improving on the original FF13 is hard to do. Seriously, they just went from “no-assing” to “some-assing” to “half-assing”, that’s not exactly an accomplishment.
I doubt it… I doubt FFXV will be the revolutionary tittle that will turn the tables for the Japanese gaming business still if FFXV is unable to reach decent sales I think I’ll be more than happy to see them go, seriously.
You better hope it will be that FF game that turns shit around , because if it isn’t… Squeenix will go full mobile within a not so distant future.
I’m confident in Nomura’s vision anyway , and i have been hyped for the game since 2008.
