And the constant more “modern” and much less fantasy in Final Fantasy you expect them to do ANYTHING like old school rpgs ever again? I mean they forced THREE FF13 games that where shit on us and just didn’t care. Even Dragon Quest in america has pretty much been ignored since what Dragon Quest 9 on DS? I’m shocked there even bothering with that ps4 Heroes game coming to america. We’ll never get Dragon Quest X the online one either. It’s japan’s pride issues. That’s the source of the problem for any game company. They hate anything that isn’t released in japan.

Man, I’d love to see a proper Front Mission game. 5 never came out over here, either. And I don’t mean one of those crazy stupid action ones that’re like Armored Core ripoffs. I mean like the old-school Strategy RPG style of Front Mission 3. That shit would be awesome.
But I also voted for a new Chrono game and really hope they get around to doing a TWEWY sequel…on the 3DS or Vita. NOT as a fucking mobile game. Good lord, that’d be worse than one never coming at all.
When they brought the FF6 game to playstation that was bad, took for ever and a day to get into the menu during the game. I think it would be cool if they brought back all the games, HD that shit, and fix any bugs or known issues and call it good. That’s why I voted for Xenogears, would be sick if those graphics were in HD, and they made the story more complete.
Dragon Quest is the only game that matters from the Enix side and those are still getting made. We’re not getting another Star Ocean thanks to Tri-Ace getting brought by a mobile company. Series like ActRaiser and Grandia are dead.
This is why i never managed to finish it on my PSP. Getting in and out of menus was killing me.

The original creators of the game don’t work for/get published by Square anymore, so with the staff they have right now, everything they make is gonna be instant poop.
If Squeenix needs to do anything it is getting new and innovative personnel.
Their higher ups at Squeenix also seem to have lost connection to the fanbase, as was evident with the screen stretched PS4 FF7 announcement, lol.
Seems like a lot of those old school Japanese developers/publishers have forgotten what made them great once.
Hint: It wasn’t rehashing the same game 15 times in a row, then wonder why people get pissed.
They just seem to be getting more and more afraid of taking risks in terms of game development and that leads to the same formula getting crapped out over and over again leading to the death of innovation and fun in their games.
Not having the original team doesn’t mean the game will be ass. Deus Ex: Human Revolution didn’t have the original devs and Warren Spector had nothing to do with it and it was a great follow up to the original game.

I would love a next gen SO game… with more planets and bigger worlds to explore. If they could implement some FF15 shit in there, where the battle is real time, I think it’d be great.

I have needed a high-res version of that game ever since they played with my emotions and made the tech demo with it back before the ps3 launch. Like i don’t even think i should be blamed for my obsession at this point.

I think the problem was a combination thinking they had to appeal to a western market and the fact that the western side of development basically had a leg up in graphics programming techniques(most programming documentation, unsurprisingly, is in English), and the previous generation was a total mess to program for(PS3 especially of course).
I actually feel like this generation will be the comeback for JP developers just making shit they want to make and it turning out good. FFXV might be finally coming out and it’s going to end up being the first action rpg mainline FF(I hope it’s good). Persona 5 is coming finally and that shit looks crazy good. FROM with the Souls series and now Bloodborne as well as PlatinumGames have been holding down the fort during the past generation and I’m sure will be just as strong in this one. MGSV for the people in to that as well.
I just want more dragon quest spin off games. And just more dragon quest in general.
