I was stuck on Viper the first few weeks I played her. Really, she needs that kind of attention to stay on point with and do things the way they should be…like setting your flame kicks to not getting uppercutted etc.
Luckily for me, my first character does reeeeal good against Balrog/Blanka/Zangief/Dictator, so if they act up…I just break out a pair of thighs and get the job done.
But yeah…I’ve played all the characters in the game seriously at one point. Zangief and Blanka only took 10 minutes of that time put together. The cool thing about Viper is that learning with her is pretty much on-going for me, so it’s real fun.
Nothing like some epic Viper action though, that’s for sure .
Good lookin man, I actually was lucky enough to get some Socal cats to play me as Honda for practice (Combo/Dae) so I have a good idea what to do and what I did wrong.
Next weekend I might go too a tournament in St. Louis and it’ll be my first fighting game tournament ever, any advice? (I’ll have to start practicing with my square gate like crazy because I’ll probably have to borrow a TE since I only have an SE for my 360, and it’s all on PS3.)
On the subject of KoF, I’ve never actually played a KoF but Duo Lon reminds me of Necro with a little bit (barely any) viper, in the form of the black foot stomp that hits people low across the screen, which is probably more similar too eddies drills.
I’m liking Duo Lon and Chin. I like the Kung Fu/Ninja characters and they both look like pretty in depth characters. Trying to make my team as far away from possible from the flowchart syndrome. No DP’s!!! I always did like Ryo though.
My tournament advice is don’t stress since it’s your first tournament and you’re going to lose badly unless everyone there is scrubby and/or doesn’t know how to fight Viper. Your first tournament is always your most humbling tournament experience and it’s basically gonna teach you that you won’t get good unless you go out to more than one tournament.
just make a good first impression. Pay attention to everything and don’t say anything too stupid :nono:. Be friendly and try to get gamertags/PSN IDs/numbers/whatever of the better people there so you can practice against them. Basically what you’d do on a date.
P.S. what character could I pick up in BlazBlue for an easy transition from Viper?
I’m in the same boat as you can’t make up my mind.
But from my knowledge Arakune and Carl have the highest execution, with Taokaka and Rachel after that. I’m considering Jin, Taokaka, Arakune and maybe Carl.
