shoot. My friends monopolized with their fight pads last night on my roommates xbox, my fightstick is for my ps3. I still had like 9 wins in a row - I used the overhand method with 3 fingers on the buttons. They all give me shit and call me “the greatest street fighter player EVER”. It was annoying at first as my drunk friend started this when I would woop his ass. Now I just embrace it. It has sorta gotten out of control.
FlashMetroid’s Viper is nasty. Really nasty.
Just curious, but how did Flash end up doing EX Seismo, dash forward, juggle with a normal, and manage to dash under to crossup? I’m having a hard time recreating it in training mode. Does it involve something along the lines of HJC’ing the Seismo and dashing, or is it just a timing issue?
Thanks in advance, and I apologize if I missed a memo for this somewhere
Yeah, he did HJC FADC after Ex Seismo, jabbed the Sagat player and dashed underneath him. I couldn’t seem to find the timing for it on smaller characters but maybe it would be easier on Sagat.
@ Refraxion: sweet freaking avatar lol.
anyways anyone ever figure out what viper says in english when she does her ultra?
Haha, nope. My guess is “Burst Time…on!” but I know I’m wrong.
I wanted to have Viper as my one and only character but I strayed and I’ve been experimenting with Cammy, who’s really fun to play as. Since Viper helped build up my execution, transitioning from her to Cammy wasn’t that hard and I can do most of her combos plus her TK Cannon Strike combos in training mode but I still need to practice them more. If I decide to go further with Cammy, I’ll start a new PSN account for Cammy since I take pride that my record was solely from Viper play and want to keep it that way, lol. I still haven’t decided whether I want a secondary or not because I feel I’ve want to improve my Viper more and I feel if I start a secondary, I’ll lose focus on her and start to slip. Let’s see how it goes.
I hope this means you are switching to Vipes full time lolol.
Big hitboxes only. It can’t reset medium or small characters.

Ah, thanks Jaded!
before i posted on here about my interest in working out Viper, i had used her about 15 times. Now i’m up to 316. I’m very streaky with her. Any small mental break whether it be frustration or lack of intensity and that could be GG.
Just sharing my thoughts
so how did Viper do at Evo, didnt see her mentioned, besides Marn s use of her in the 5-5
Flash, Devil, Mag?
Pretty much the same with me.
Flash made it out of his pool but lost to JR in the most hilarious match ever but I don’t know what happened to him after that. I don’t know what happened to Deviljin, I really wanted to see his matches. I heard that MagnetoManiac apparently got DQ’d because he missed his match, which caused him to go into losers, but he managed to get out. Don’t know what happened to him after that either.
Overall, quite a few Vipers made it into the semi-finals and did well. I was veryimpressed by pretty much all the Vipers that I saw; Marn’s was a surprise, he even did a Uryo with the SJC FADC sweep but he missed the sweep, lol.
Oh yeah, there was another Viper called Ivylicious who was very offensive. It’s a shame he was trying to rush down Zangief of all characters.
Heh, thanks man. I like it a lot too. I seriously need to play more offline matches with Viper… I`ve been hermitting a lot and just not playing games in general. But! today I was able to land FFF on a controller! haha, I was shocked, I just attempted it and it worked out!
EVO was awesome to watch, very inspirational, I will have to go back into the laboratory to experiment to get my execution down pat.
I thought Marn was too much flash
for his own good.

Congrats on pulling out FFF on a controller, took me a while to do it on a pad.
I’ve also haven’t been playing games recently, instead I was watching Evo. Yeah, perhaps Marn was trying to maybe show off a little too much, but I enjoyed it, lol. And was everyone as surprised as I was when Combofiend just pulled out the FFF on Dan out of nowhere? I’ve never seen him use FFF so it came as a bit of a surprise. His Viper’s sick though, amazing pressure. I’m guess I’m going to put my plans on learning Cammy to a halt and start practicing more.
My friends and I are going to have offline sessions soon, it should be fun.
yeah, i never use pad so i was shocked haha. too used to stick
I know what you mean man, i strayed for a second as well going over to akuma but nothing pisses people off like a good C. Viper so i think that’s where i’m gonna put focus. She’s ruined a chance for anyone else.
Lol, that’s true, people fear good Vipers like no other character it seems. You come in with a Viper icon and people are shitting themselves, lol, they’re scared that you might know the FFF. Only people that don’t fear Vipers are Hondas and Blankas, lol. Plus she’s so fun to play as and for some reason, a lot of my friends enjoy playing against Vipers.
And after watching Evo, forget Cammy, it’s Viper all the way! Let’s go Viper!
Yeah unfortunately I never made it out of my bracket which was actually one of the easier brackets in the tournament. I lost my first match due to getting nervous against a solid Gief player. I pretty much realized the best way to fight Gief if you don’t know the matchup to get a health lead, run away and run the clock down. The whole reason why I play Viper is lost when I have to fight Gief.
Then I made it all the way through the losers bracket until the final match where I had to fight some Vega player named Walter G or something to that effect. His Vega was pretty solid and beat the Gief player that beat me for free. I’m not sure if that’s a good match for Vega or more than likely the Gief player just didn’t understand the matchup. I beat him convincingly the first fight but it was only out of sheer offensive pressure. Once he had that figured out he pulled out cross up wall dive shenanigans which for some reason I wasn’t able to focus or block at all. Long story short I screw up 2 matches straight and go clubbin afterwards.
Gave me a lot of knowledge for next year and a lot of good players got knocked out early. You really couldn’t take any player for granted and hopefully by next year I’ll have a more solid idea on how to play all the character matchups.
Sounds rough man, i’ll be there next year as well i got a year to get her down solid and develop my style with her. i got a few friends here that want me playing in tourneys and since i’m quitting my job in august it’s all school and street fighter.
I wasn’t even notified I had been switched out of my pool until the VIP party the night before, I was moved form Pool 19 to Pool 6, so I had to be there in the morning now @ 8am instead of 4pm
We didn’t get back from LAX until damn near 3am and I practiced Viper up until like 5am shitfaced as hell with a major headache.
Well I get to Evo like 10 minutes late the next day to pick up my bracket (I was judging as well,) and I find out some dude already took it upon himself to take my Pool’s bracket and start the Pool.
I kindly asked him if I could have it back since I was judging and playing in the same pool, and it would make things a lot less confusing for me if I could stay in my Pool the whole time, this dude just looks at me and gives me a stink eye, rolls his eyes as well and just says “…No.” There had only been the first 2 matches played in that pool too, It wasn’t like I was taking over half way through.
 Dude ruined the whole thing for me, I wasn’t gonna stick around to judge another pool and play in a completely different one being ran by some frog faced asshole.
I left right after that, and I never went back for anything seeing as I had no business there anymore and our hotel room neighbors were the shit, buying us drinks out the ass and getting us into clubs. My whole Evo trip contained 2% Evo.
