LOL. There’s already a Viper troll on PSN.
Haha, thanks for the advice, I’ll keep it up and hopefully lvl up.
LOL, ggs CoosCoos, I got owned pretty bad towards the end when you actually started trying.
My execution stinks monkey balls on the right side, I couldn’t seismo properly after knockdowns which pissed me off XD.
I also can’t do my sjc bks low and fp tk feints when under pressure >_< XD.
I need to work on being able to consistently instant bk TOWARDS the opponent for a cross up and being able to execute shit on the right side of the screen.
Viper mirrors are so annoying they make you really jumpy.
BTW n00b question how do you block cross ups XD.
Just block to the other side. If they are jumping from the right side to hit on the left you just hold right. Just be sure to stand up while doing it because all jumping attacks have to be blocked high.
Are there any on XBL?
Lololol Wolfkrone?
I’m hoping this isn’t the same Wolfkrone I know of from 8wayrun.com. If so then LOL. He’s a troll. If you don’t want to call him a troll, then he’s a really annoying individual. I make a point not to converse with that person and neither does anyone on 8way for that matter.
It is probably the same guy. He messages me in all caps when he does.
Man I think this new Bomberman game is going to cut into my Viper time lolol
The hell with what I said before. I need me a stick if I want to get any further execution-wise. I’ve pretty much hit a wall with Maya on pad. Then again…I could try and be the next Combofiend.
Starcraft, the fact that Blazblue is coming out, and a little 3s on the side, has cut my game too almost 10%.
Surprisingly the couple times I do play I think I’m at my best, it’s like a mind clear and I lose my habits and just pwn.
Those 8 hour days in a row when school ended payed off cause I just learned all the match-ups and the game itself so well, but I think I developed a lot of habits during this period. Luckily the break broke me of those habits.
What I still haven’t learned is BOXER! I just suck against him.
Oh and Octo gate all the way
I know how you feel. I use Viper on both a 360 and Dualshock pad and I’m literally getting nowhere. I’ve only won four G2 finals since I’ve started up Champion mode in June. The only thing that keeps my hope in Viper alive is that if I put in loads of hours into her, one day I’ll become good with her on a pad. It’s extremely tough, but I think it might be possible, so good luck to me!
I need get rid of my bad habits such as jumping too much against shotos(why am I doing this?) and space properly. I also need to start using ex seismo feints against random jump ins and deal with tick throws better as well as apply more pressure on my opponent. Back to the drawing board again.
Young ones, do not lose faith, the stick is an easy solution but it is possible on a pad trust me.
I’m on a pad and the only techinical thing I’m missing from my game is rapid multi feints like dashio does. i.e. tk, seismo, seismo, tk , sjc h lk, seismo, tk… (I think you get what I’m saying.)
For mental and spacing I still need alot of work as all my normal human opponents are as n00by as ****
It might take a while to get FFF xx U Mad down, but eventually it will click over time. Like it only clicked for me a couple of weeks ago.
I can’t even do FFF online, lol. Offline, it comes out about 69% of time. Online, it drops to 15%. For doing rapid feints, there isn’t really a trick, but I find it helps to hold down PPP after hp.thunder knuckle feint because for some reason, I usually accidentally negative edge and the feint ends up becoming EX thunder knuckle. I usually use mp.thunder knuckle to feint. For seismo feints, it’s just a matter of speed really.
EDIT: There’s thread about it here: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=188829
No, I mean Seismo Feint, Fierce TK Fient, Fierce TK Feint, SJ, Light BK, Fierce TK Feint, Seismo Feint, Seismo Feint… It goes like that until I decide to mix up.
Trust me, FFF is really hard what do you input for it, like exactly?
I can do every single move/input to FFF, but when I try and do it all together it’s…slow. Too slow to be unblockable.
My issue is doing the ex seismo AFTER FFF. I can do FFF all day, but can’t land god damn seismo afterwards. I figured a pretty good way to get the seismo out about 95% of the time but for some reason i have a hard time applying in an actual match :looney: I notice i gotta sit in training mode before playing online or going over someone’s house for casuals to get myself all warmed up in order to play Viper at my best. I’ll share some things that work for me after i get off work.
The octagon gate probably helped me with FFF more than anything, with square I ALWAYS got super.
I input the feint and second fierce while holding down back.
With octagon, down back is nearer too neutral and you don’t get a down input on the way too forward, which happened a lot with square for me.
Course this completely depends on how you execute the FFF, there seems to be many ways. I do everything for viper the good ol’ fashion way, move your hands really fast for every input, no shortcuts.
Also, I had a really easy time learning FFF, spamming HP tk feints though… I only spam jab tk and jab siesmo, easy for me and almost just as effective.
well I input FFF EX Seismo like this, d, c.hp, db, b, hp, f, lp + mp + hp (I use a macro), d, lp + mp + hp, df, lp + mp + hp. Thats for when I start with c.fp. If I do s.hp I just buffer the Fierce TK during the s.fp and the rest is the same from there.
It took a while to get consistently offline, no way i’m doing this online consistently with lag XD.
Ah, I see what you mean. That…would be really hard on a pad. Here’s how I would do it: :qcb:+:hp:, :3p:(hold :3p: so ex thunder knuckle doesn’t come out), :qcb:+:hp:, :3p:(hold :3p:) :qcf::uf::hcb:+:lk:, :qcb:+:hp:, :3p:(again, hold :3p:) :df::df:+:p:, :3p:
You’d have to do this pretty fast. I’d say it would be much easier with mp.thunder knuckle feint as the timing for the feint is much more lax and you can press it normally without fear of getting ex thunder knuckle as much. Rapid mix-up Seismo and knuckle are a bit awkward for me though, I’ll try and practice it more in training mode.
Over the course of my Viper play, I’ve got loads of methods of doing FFF on a pad and I keep switching back and forth between them depending on which mood I’m in, lol. I’ve stopped using cr.hp for FFFs and started using st.hp which is much easier for me now to the point I can do it online. Here’s my method of doing it on a pad: :hp:, :qcb:+:hp:, :r:+:3p:, :df:+:3p: :df:+:3p:
Pretty weird of doing it, huh? But it seems to work for me at least.
No, that’s actually my way but just shortcutted XD.
