EDIT: just thinking about it there are just attack buttons so does cr. C and Cr. B translate to cr. HP and cr. MP from SF4? Because I saw cr. MK in there so were would that go in marvels button scheme?
So I am assuming while she is still an execution beast, she will require less execution to appear competent than she did in sf 4?

She will be easier to play than her SF counterpart. And a lot stronger…

I appreciate the link to that post. I wish the poster just went more in depth as to why he thinks C. Viper is the best. The other character’s he listed he elaborated on somewhat and then just said that Viper is the best.
That’s what it looks like to me too.
Wellllll, viper has jc’able zoning tools with siesmos, and mastering multi siesmos will be nasty, her ex shit is either invincible or negates projectiles that lead into easy 100% combos. XF 100% no meter, 90% 1 bar, trijump, overhead assist(kind of ass) two ground overheads, unblockables with FA, FA dash to negate zoning…etc
She’s insanely good, but she can be mauled on, its not like shes broken at all. I would just group her as a potentially great character, calling her the best right now is idiotic to say the least.
Not sure if I posted this before, but I just saw this vid YouTube - MvC3 - Marvel vs Capcom 3 at CES 2011 Justin Wong vs Marn Part 1/2 and it’s good to see that you can still juggle with Burst Time, but it only looks like it’ll work in the corner.
Since you brought this up, which of her moves are EX-able and do the benefits of doing so rationalize them taking a full bar to execute?
Apparently, because Capcom increased the window a feint can work Viper can carry the forward momentum of her TK’s and BK’s, which we already knew. What we didn’t know that was discovered was that you can do something like BK feintxN and start ascending higher in the air. I am fully going to try to do something cheesy like get the life lead and then SJ BK feintxN off the screen until time runs out. I want people to rage quit over this shit.

I doubt it’ll let you do that, but maybe you can do some sort of MvC2 Storm type runaway for a bit.
C.Viper looks amazing in MvC3. I can’t to play as her, she was my favorite character in SSF4 look wise but I couldn’t get her grasp of playing, Hopefully I like how she plays more in MVC3
That was just me being really mad about her rapid fire captain corridor shenanigans. With her cancels, air dashes, ex moves and focus attacks, it seems like she has many of the best options on both offense AND defense. She can jet all over the screen and rip people out of the air, or rush in and mix people up in a dozen different ways that are all safe. On top of that, she has one of the only overhead assists in the game. It seems like her only weaknesses from what I’ve seen/played so far are that she doesn’t do a ton of chip damage and she isn’t the easiest character to DHC into.
Amazing character, regardless. I love how everyone in this game has potential.
