That as a single comment made early in development. Perhaps then they really did try and buff everyone up but found it difficult to balance or whatever.
Viper really really seems fine to me, high mobility high damage low health…

can you cross/mix it up? Like does it auto correct? And it does absorb hypers?
IMO her ending should show Capt. Commando as her bro or husband, scientist or experiment in a lab. That would be OP
If Viper is absorbing your hyper, you can either spend one bar to switch to a hyper from another character in a different spot, or you can cancel with X factor, and you should have one of these unless you just spent everything to kill someone.
FADC is also a bar right?
I don’t think she can actually dash cancel it, just the FA.
I heard somewhere that the FA does absorb supers, but ‘absorb’ doesn’t mean she takes less damage, it just means that she punches afterwards.
So To my understanding, if she focuses say, proton cannon, she’ll take full damage, but only get the crumple if she’s up close.

It didn’t take meter to dash cancel your focus attack in SF4, so I would assume it doesn’t here.
what about out of other shit? TKxxFADC= 1 bar?
her focus attack is a normal focus attack, it just takes more hits and doesn’t do gray dmg. So yeah, dash forward, dash back, all of that is there, for free.
About FADC cancels, i don’t think she has em. ok, A+E is feint, A+E is focus. If you try to focus cancel too soon, you get a feint, too late, you don’t get shit : I

Well, it doesn’t work exactly like it does in SFIV, so we can’t really take anything for granted. As far as you know Kanta, is there any limit to the amount of hits she can focus? Any moves that break it? And how long is the charge/do you need to absorb any hits to get the crumple stun?

I didn’t test how many hits you have to absorb to crumple (if there is a minimum) and didn’t test max of hits. But she did take a lot of them and focus wasn’t broken.
Just to make sure everyone got it, dashing out of focus is absolutely free.
I guess the effectiveness of Focus might depend entirely on how slow the dash is.
neither seemed notably fast. I’d say same speed as SF4 actually.
From what it sounds like, perhaps C. Viper’s Focus attack has Hyper Armor qualities? As in Beams/Stuff with a crazy amount of hits will do quite a lot of damage on her.
