Springfield, MO - No, really, we play fighting games here!

 Sang, where did you pick it up anyway? Not that I can’t wait until tomorrow, but I am awfully curious.

My god. SFxT Ryu is sickening. The Hado-cancel is absolutely horrifying. Aniel is going to whup my ass if he picks this up.

Just from playing late last night, I’m having a lot of fun with this game. It seems like 95% footsies, if someone has better fundamentals than their opponent they can get sick damage. My only problem is deciding who to play as. Bison’s combos are weird in this game, not sure if I want to use him or not. He’s still as slippery as ever, and that’s good, and his pokes are still awesome, but I’m having a hard time getting good damage.

Sorry I actually played at Torrey’s place, I didn’t have a copy with me.

Asuka all the way! Easy moderate damage, usually around 250 - 300, with a knockdown at the end. I’ll try to post videos of what I have so far. Don’t expect any high level play though. She has a fault for having a short crouching forward but I’ll try to find a way to make up for it. I can’t punish blocked launchers properly with her due to spacing. Lily, I’m still messing around with.

SFxT is a good game. I’m enjoying it a lot. Sticking to what I know right now with Ryu/Guile. haha

Alright. With the scaled down gems, I’m really enjoying SFxT! Rolling with Jin/Guile right now. Anyone else trying to Focus Attack moves and calling in a partner to get kicked in the face?
The chain/unchain system is taking some getting used to :-/

sfxt is amazing. Just picked it up today. Loving it.

Rolling Kazuya/King right now and loving it. So. Much. Damage.

If anyone can critique my matches it would be great. Anyone on PS3 that want to team up? lol.

If we’re ever online at the same time, I will. I bought my copy on PS3.

I’ve been running him second behind Kazuya a little bit. The best I’ve been able to get is 380 midscreen meterless, from a clean jump in HP. I can clear 400 with a switch cancel. On a c.lk hit confirm, I top out at 260 meterless thus far.

He can land pokes into tags for respectable damage quite often though, so he might be a “quantity over quality” kinda guy.

Who’s showing up at Meta tonight? I’d like to see what everyone is doing with X Tekken so far.

I’ll be there.

What time?
Hey all, I’m Hezron(Tyler my real name) I JUST now got into fighting games. I come from a pc gaming background emphasis on RTS, MOBA, and MMO. I love esports and picked up street fighter x tekken and am loving it. Nice to see a thread from Springfield. Do you guys have any organized events every week or anything like that that I can eventually start coming to once I hone my game for a while? Do you guys know of any groups in Joplin that get together?
Yo man. Cool to see you’re getting into the Fighting Game Scene. Always welcome here to see more people in the MO area.
As you can tell from the posts of the others, SFxT is gonna be pretty big in the area. I’m personally more of an ‘Anime-Fighting Game’ Player, so I don’t participate much in the Capcom stuff now due to a massive amount of frustration, but enough aout me.

We commonly are getting together on Mondays at Meta games (All information is on the first post) and our other meet up area is currently going through some renovation so we can’t play there at the moment.

Joplin-wise, I’m not sure much about the Community that may be there. Someone else might know better in the thread though, so yeah. =/

Hey guys, SFxT was awesome last night at Meta. 2v2 mode is great! After some confusion last night, I looked into compiling a list of all the ways a team can tag in and out. Here is what I found. Please correct any errors you might find. Hopefully this helps and is not just confusing.

Cross Art
Qcf + MP + MK (Point character tags into partner’s Super) - 3 Bars
Cross Assualt
Qcb + MP + MK (Point tags out but stays on screen to deal damage as a team) - 3 Bars
Cross Cancel
F + HP + HK while blocking (EX moves comes out. Can be Switch Canceled for another bar) - 1 Bar (2)
Switch Cancel
MP + MK while opponent is being hit or blocking (2nd character comes in & resets juggle potential) - 1 Bar
Cross Rush
LP > MP > HP > HP (or kicks or combination of both from L to H) (Launches opponent and brings in 2nd character) - 0 Bar
Launcher
HP + HK (So unsafe but if it hits it is the same as the end of a Cross Rush) - 0 Bar
Pandora
D > D + MP + MK (Point character dies, 2nd character gets 15% damage increase and regenerating meter. Pandora lasts for 7 game seconds and then 2nd character gets KO’d) - 0 Bar
Switch
MP + MK (Raw tag. Point character is -5 on startup and incoming character is vulnerable until they stop running) - 0 Bar

Looks like the Gamestop on W Sunshine is planning on holding this event. LET’S GO!

Prizes “like” the "Street Fighter® x Tekken® PS3 Fightpad S.D. By Mad Catz " What in the world would I do with it?

Great games to all last night at Meta! Seriously the most fun I’ve had out there. The teams environment is a totally new experience!

Greetings! I moved to the area from near Chicago last summer and wanted to finally introduce myself to the local community. I am a long time player of fighting games although I only started learning how to really play in the last few years. I enjoy pretty much all fighters (Arc System Works are my favorite though) and I tend to be more of a casual fun player over a hardcore competitive one although I do practice as to not be completely free. I hopefully will try to make it over to Meta to get some matches in and to meet everyone.

Out of curiosity, do you guys favor one system over the other? I have both systems but would prefer to get the new fighters and train on the local favorite.
