Ok, having too much fun playing Honda again.
Like I said, not much, but being able to do a 2-hit Spiral Arrow from a block away now is sexy. It’s very viable for general combo use now and M Arrow can still cross up in the corner for shenanigans.
Still sad modo about no TKCS, but fuck it; I’ll live.

Picked it up this past Tuesday and I’m thoroughly hooked. I’ve probably put in 20 hours since I bought the thing (that’s a ton considering my workweek).
It’s my first non-crossover SNK fighter, so I don’t know much about its predecessors, but compared to Marvel/SF4, the execution is pretty unforgiving. I can honestly say that I think my execution has improved exponentially in all games just by putting time into my Ash/Mature/Kyo team. Awesome characters, flashy combos, solid mechanics, and plenty of variety. I can’t recommend it enough.
Anybody? Still Meta Tomorrow? Dennis has expressed an interest in hosting, but I haven’t seen any posts here.

Yeah, I’d love to go, but STL trips are gonna be a bit tougher for me to make now since I work on Sundays. KC still works since the trip doesn’t take as long, but the STL trip is just a bit long for my tastes to do back and forth in one day and then have to work the next day. If I feel like I can manage it or get a Sunday off, I’ll come out for sure though.
Traveling is a no go for me at all for the next month and I have to work 12 hours tomorrow and work as a back on new years. Rest of the month is just busy. Aniel, we’ll get our rematch, just give me a text, I was just able to read you easily through our matches.

Alright Street Fighter friends, I need some help. Is there a safer way to option-select crouch tech into something that doesn’t become vulnerable against a move with a stupid hurtbox, for example Ryu cr. mp. Issue I’m having on characters who don’t have meterless invulnerability options on wakeup, my crouch tech becomes a wiffed cr lk if the attacker doesn’t throw, which is immediately caught an Ryu’s cr mp, and is easily hit confirmed into yet another knock down. Is there a way I am unaware of to not throw an attack during a crouch tech where I am not in block stun?
The only thing you can do is to hit lp+lk+mp+mk. This will tech a throw or focus an attack. After focus you should probably backdash unless they use a laggy normal or special. Or just block and delay your tech.
Thank you Clint! didn’t know you could do that, thought the focus input would eat the throw tech input and get me thrown. That gives me an extra option.
Do you guys still play on Mondays at Meta? It’s been awhile and I’d like to come back out. I’ve been practicing SF, BB, and UMvC3.
